Nice to read your words, Divegeester. Reminds me, that Wang fellow is still out there wanting universal basic income for everyone. Is it for everyone, including high end earners? Does he realize if for everyone, it would have a net-zero effect on the economy?

I’m mostly interested if his words reached out to our conservative American friends.

I watched the whole speech (well, my wife did, I was on the couch being cocky).

When he spoke about Kamila being vice-president being proof that things can change... just after mentioning women got the vote 108 years ago... I said: “Slow bloody change.”

And when he asked what Ameri ...[text shortened]... udge the impact. So, seriously, I want to know how the right-wingers here experienced it.

Thanks.
i nodded off.

I'm not right-wing, I did not support Donald Trump, and I've been waiting for this day for four long years.

When he finished, I had tears on my face and sniffles. All I could think was: "Finally."
It was quite a moving speech and one we did not hear from the previous POTUS.

It will be slow, but as Andy said America will heal.

Biden certainly is not a great speaker, not at the same level as Obama or Clinton, but in this case, substance matters over style.
And from that perspective, job well done !!

Note, for those who want to pop up out of their gopher holes and blather on about Trump's speaking style, I'll say this......
I'm sure he'll do well going on speaking tours through trailer parks....
Obama and Clinton were two of the better speakers of any modern day President I can remember. Biden did certainly get his point across, and great to see him going in a different direction and changing many things the Trumpster did on his first day.

The pipe line is going to be a big issues out west where it is estimated they will lose 1 billion dollars. I think that is the only conflict Canada will have with U.S.A. that is a major one.

I am very happy to see the Trumpster gone!

Can I conclude that?
Shav...and all....seriously, please weigh in your opinion of the unity issue. On the one hand, he was dead set on soothing us with promises of unity, us being about 75M people. Yet, he will stand by and allow the Congress and Senate to impeach Trump. This is anything but unifying.
Everyone, should Biden abide by his promise of unity and end this?

I've mentioned 3 times in the Forum what shut-down of pipeline will do, but no one seems interested in this happening. Just let it happen? Let the chips (jobs and oil) fall where they may?

I believe an example has to be set or this will set as an example you can get away with invading the White House, and Trumpster was the one who told everyone to march to the White House and fight like hell.

It is a very difficult situation for sure. No argument about that!

First Trump trips and drowns in a puddle of prostitute urine then we unify, K?

@kevcvs57
I am waiting for the first charges to be brought against our former corrupter in chief.
But the right wingers are just castigating Biden before anything can be accomplished. For instance, Biden is taking over the Covid vaccine issue which Trump just cast on the states to do which of course just meant state competing with states to get the vaccine, left to fend on their own which is why we have a federal government, to handle world wide emergencies beyond the ability of a single state to cope.
But Trump was too incompetent to even CONTEMPLATE such a move, be an actual LEADER for a change. But that will be behind us when we get over the national hangover from the last four terrible years.

Will Pence be the new Messiah for the 75M?

No but they might let him wash some feet. There are few candidates in the GOP that seem psychotic and narcissistic enough to fill the orange ones shoes.🍊👞👞

Could be. Just follow the rules of being president, ,,,,th first one is his sworn oath on the capitol steps yesterday. The part about the Constitution,...... if he would have all of his people follow it, it would make the conservative lot of Republicans most happy indeed.
It is already in the book!!!!! Just follow it, doesnt even have to think about it. All else will fall into place as our forefathers meant it to be.

C'mon, Joe!

Do you think that Trump's actions leading up to the Jan 6th debacle is impeachable ?
Or do you think that Trump's own "law and order" criminal justice system should apply instead ?

He certainly didn't hear them, nor listened, I wager.
