I think that it is a REALLY good thing to have others fortunes tied up in making sure that WE are a success. I worry about those who want to destroy us. Like you for instance.
I am for globalization and foreign investment in the US, but taking out loans to pay for an arguably unnecessary war when we already run a budget deficit is fiscally irresponsible to say the least. If we were borrowing money to invest it in something in order to realize some positive return on the money, I could see the justification, but when you buy a bomb, blow it up, what kindof return do you get? death, more terrorists and delights of compounded interest.
