CDC gives up on PCR tests/admits they are flawed

Debates

As of January 1, 2022, the CDC in a request to the FDA withdraws it’s endorsement of the RT-PCR test.

The CDC acknowledges that the PCR test does not effectively differentiate between Covid-19 and Seasonal Influenza.

From the CDC link below:

"In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses."

https://www.cdc.gov/csels/dls/locs/2021/07-21-2021-lab-alert-Changes_CDC_RT-PCR_SARS-CoV-2_Testing_1.html

Does that mean the flu has been falsely detected as covid for all this time which artificially inflated the covid case numbers?

Why don't you read your own links?

"CDC is providing this advance notice for clinical laboratories to have adequate time to select and implement one of the many FDA-authorized alternatives."

The CDC is requesting *one* method for testing Covid be discontinued, recommending other approved methods be used instead.

End thread.

Did you read why they gave up on PCR tests? Do you really think that is irrelevant?
Read carefully, what this CDC directive tacitly admits is that the PCR test cannot differentiate between “SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses”.

If the PCR test is invalid as suggested by the CDC’s statement, the 260 Million so-called “Confirmed Covid-19 Cases” collected and tabulated Worldwide since the outset of the alleged pandemic are meaningless.

Again, this for *one* type of test, which is not the only way to detect Covid.

Dude, you really, really need to learn to read.

You totally don’t understand what that notice says. Or you are deliberately twisting the message for your own goals.

And you have failed to demonstrate you do.
Are we supposed to be impressed?

It really bugs you that my source is the CDC, doesn't it?
You are not able to attack the source like you usually do.
Jimmi must be disappointed MBFC doesn't call the CDC fake and biased.

No. You’re supposed to read and comprehend.

I could it explain it to you, but I really think you should go back to your own link and try to comprehend the message.

You really are digging a hole for yourself, eh?

The CDC is discontinuing a certain test, because they’ve developed a test which determines which strain of covid or influenza someone might have.
This rolled into a single test saves resources and time.

It’s what the link says. Your link.
So, the previous test did not mistake covid for anything else (which is rather obvious).

Good night.

Nope. It doesn't say that. This is what it says:

"CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses."

The CDC is discontinuing the PCR test because there is another test which determines the difference between covid or influenza someone might have. That means the PCR tests don't do that and never did.

That means all flu cases were counted as covid that used PCR tests. The flu never disappeared as some used to claim. The PCR tests simply are incapable of determining the difference.

https://www.cdc.gov/csels/dls/locs/2021/08-02-2021-lab-alert-Clarifications_about_Retirement_CDC_2019_Novel_Coronavirus_1.html

Why is CDC retiring the CDC 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel?

CDC is retiring the CDC 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel because the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized hundreds of other SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic tests, many of which are now higher throughput or can test for more than one illness at a time.

Right from the source: the CDC is retiring PCR because other methods "test for more than one illness at a time".

The CDC, contrary to your claim, isn't saying PCR tests don't "effectively differentiate" between the flu and Covid.

Happy New Year.

Two specific illnesses at a time, SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses.

"CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses."

That means the PCR test cannot facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses.

From the link below:

"McKinney also noted the FDA told the Times that "commercial manufacturers and laboratories set their own" CT levels. -JTN"

https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/fda-maintains-pcr-tests-are-gold-standard-despite-cdc-dropping-over-positive-results-12

No universal standard for CT levels?
These PCR tests are a big scam. This should be a huge scandal. Instead, nothing to see here....move along. Don't pay attention to the people behind the curtain.

No, it doesn't. Your putting words in their mouths because you have no point here.
