I think Chavez has lost his marbles. Or maybe he's using this as an excuse to build up the military for his own purposes?

On the other hand, this is the BUSH Administration he's talking about. So maybe he should be concerned.
Anyone on these forums from Venezuela? And if so where do you keep your WMD's and or do you feel you need liberating from tyrannical rule?

I think this would be an extraordinary documentary. 2 Irish people doing a documentary on Chavez get stuck in the middle of the u.s. sponsored coup, and their film reveals the lies as presented by the world media at the time.

I think it would be essential viewing to see what was really going on there.

Yes, Chavez is a blow-hard. His economic policies are responsible for Venezuela continued deterioration. The US is mired in Iraq, but we would decimate Venezuela. It would be a horrible thing. I've been there; I have friends there. Very sad.
The US would be pretty out of line to invade and control the oil. I don't think the rest of the world would put up with it. Were big and strong, but not that big and strong. Realistically though, the US people wouldn't put up with it either. The rest of the world wouldn't have to step in because democracy would take care things.
