I have just found out that Iranians are not allowed to be paid subscribers - even SA citizens working in Iran are having their transactions reversed...
Why would RHP do this? This is an online chess community, not a political movement. If one were to use positive energy, this would be a perfect forum for people from diverse backgrounds to meet and communi ...[text shortened]... o bring their rapacious oil grabbing politics into it - I'm disgusted, to say the very least...

So? The whole Arab/West issue has Yank roots. If their sidekicks do something, it's still fair to refer to the problem as a Yank issue.
Look up a little history, such as the The Sykes-Picot Agreement, and you will learn (via facts) what the root of the Arab/West issue really is. Take you USA hate crap somewhere else.

The most likely reason would be visa or mastercard, but why let logic spoil a good rant. You may have helped end apartheid but the old shoot first and ask questions later seems to have been a much harder spirit to break.
I have been asking questions as I was taking aim. You can't blame a man for taking a shot at the Yanks - they deserve it!
Herewith the whole story from the 'victims' mouth:
'I don't think it was RHP who blocked the transaction I think it is 2Checkout.com (I subsequently found out that all the US based financial institutions block all transactions involving Iran). RHP is a great site, they contacted me to try see if they could get around it. '
So, my apologies for accusing RHP of underhanded tactics - I stand by my views regarding the Yanks though...

This sounds very strange. What exactly happened? Are you sure it was a decision made by RHP, and based on nationality?

Ultimately you will be your own worst nightmare, and choke on your own over indulgences.
Originally posted by AntoineThe problem is that people like you believe that all us Yanks think the same. We don't. Some of us are quite a bit more introspective and critical about our own government and culture especially as it relates to the rest of the world than some of you give us credit for.

I really think it boils down to convenience. It is convenient for you to just lump us into one big category without actually taking the time to talk to some of us and understand that there are differences of opinion within our own border.
