It's pretty obvious he meant to detain some congresspersons. Taking action against the government is the definition of insurrection.

Trump was the head snake, 100% and there is ZERO defense of that, proven in court in Colorado even before their supreme court said he was ineligible.
The question was not whether he was an insurrectionist, the question was about his immunity and the earlier court really did not want to weigh in on that so it got bumped up to State supreme court level and they said it was OBVIOUS Trump was in absolute fact an insurrectionist and I just hope other states follow through and kick his sorry ass off of the ballots.
Trump is screwing up the country even without being POTUS by having his henchmen in congress hold up aid to Ukraine where they don't give a rats ass about national security because they are in love with Putin and will help him win the war and they clearly don't understand Putin WILL attack Nato countries and THAT will cost the US a LOT more than giving aid to Ukraine but they can't think that far ahead because their brains have been taken over by the head snake Trump.
He is an absolute disaster for the US, already our international credit rating has been downgraded and more to come if this traitor is actually the next president, you better take him at his word, he WILL be a dictator on day one, Day two and all the rest of the time he can take over the entire government and declare himself emperor of the US.

Also, the ban has been stayed so technically Trump has not really been banned. It is pending appeal.
