@cheesemaster saidTwo things:
Oh great 🙄
You mean we go back to seeing too many threads about abortion 😒
Yes you have a point. That is horrendous.
Uh... you weren’t on this forum 4 years ago... so how do you know?
@ponderable saidI can't wait for the comparison of Biden's inauguration crowd with Trump's inauguration crowd.
There will be threads until the 20th of January at least i presume.
Karma is a bitch.
@great-king-rat saidExactly!
Congratulations America. All your problems are solved now. You only needed to worry about the outcome of this popularity contest. Everything else is totally fine in your country.
In about a year when the victory wears off everyone will see the USA is crap regardless of what party is in the white house.
@cheesemaster saidYou're welcome to move if you think so.

The post that was quoted here has been removedGenerals, or anybody in the US military, do not have to obey an illegal order from their superiors:
"Not only should an unlawful order not be obeyed, obeying such an order can result in criminal prosecution."
https://www.thebalancecareers.com/military-orders-3332819
Since there is no legal authority for the President to disburse the weapons of the US armed forces to private citizens organized into "militias", such an order would be illegal, should be disobeyed and would open up any general and/or soldier who followed it to criminal charges.
See also the article here: https://warontherocks.com/2017/07/when-can-a-soldier-disobey-an-order/
It concludes: "Their [US service members] obligation to obey the orders of their superiors does not include orders that are palpably illegal."
@suzianne saidJust as long as the wrongdoers that are about to be outed by the Durhan Report are brought to justice. Certainly everyone agrees that that should happen, it should be number one on Trump's to-do list. Or,, just let them all go free?
The world is breathing a sigh of relief.
With Boss McConnell still in charge in the Senate, it will be a tough road, but we've come this far, not giving up now.
@sonhouse saidNo foreign entity started a war with Trump in office. The weak Biden may indeed invite a bit of sword rattling. Think about it. Has Kamala ever been to Europe? Is she up on Foreign affairs??
@divegeester
Joe may get 306 electorals, the same # that got Trump elected.
God, what an enormous sigh of relief, eh.
The 4 year nightmare is over.
Unless Trump goes total rogue and tries to start a war or some BS like that.
Send National guard to arrest the house or some such.
Let's hope grownups in the room will stop any of that, start a war with Iran, the ...[text shortened]... on security matters like, oh, let's see, PUTIN and Kim Jon Un.
And dealing sincerely with China.
