@mghrn55 saidThe threat of Trump was nothing of the sort. Trump was a threat to US politics alright...just not in the way you think. He was dangerous because people starting paying attention to politics...that is the reason why he had to go.
I've said it this forum before, and I'll say it again.
We have to fix democracy first.
Then we can sort out the ideology in due time.
Trump was a threat to democracy in America.
@joe-shmo saidThankyou Joe. SURELY the libs will get your gist? Do you think Trump was just too much for the swamp, he really shook things up, which in the years to come will be recognized as one of his greatest accomplishments.

@averagejoe1 saidYeah, I think his greatest accomplishment was "making sides" again. Joe Biden is already coming out with "positive" messaging that its time to heal that division ( and get back to the business of skimming the public as a team ).

@joe-shmo saidThe threat the democracy was not of the sort where it would be destroyed.

But rather open to manipulation.
This fiasco around Pennsylvania (and Georgia) would not be happening if all the ballots were counted simultaneously.
But governments of both Pennsylvania and Georgia decided to count the mail in ballots last. And not start until polls closed.
This created a scenario where Trump got a big lead in both states.
And then when Biden caught up, the accusations started.
Think about it.......
Trump complains, weeks ago, that mail in ballots were fraudulent.
Some GOP states decided to initiate vote counting protocol to count mail in ballots last.
Trump openly encourages his supporters to vote in person.
This conveniently separates the vote distribution in both in person and mail in voting statistics.
Add to that a gift to Trump team of RBG passing so Amy Barrett could be rushed into SCOTUS in time for the post election legal challenges.
Of course, toss in cartoon character Giuliani complaining "they project California as soon as the polls close, but don't project Pennsylvania when Trump is 700,000 votes in front".
Too convenient ??? 🤔
