Seemingly the “killer” has been in- and out of psychosis for years. And being a heavy pot smoker doesn’t make that illness any better.
I.e.he didn’t kill because he was using pot, he killed because he was psychotic. The drug abuse is a side issue.
I can actually side, to a certain extent, with the court that the man can’t be held criminally responsible, but surely “psychiatric treatment in a closed facility” would be the way to go.
So, not a prison sentence... they have set rules about when you’ve done your time... just locked up and let loose when the shrink says you’re cured (which you never really are).

You may be right but what we are critiquing is what the court said. He killed because he was on weed.
Sure is strange. I just think it may be another case of protect the Muslim. my opinion
