I never implied that he would said we needed more money. But if everyone has it and it's distributed evenly amongst people, excluding what they presently have, then in a free market, prices can be gouged.

Now let's say that doesn't happen and we distribute the $3 trillion over the 6 billion people (this is an underestimate) of the world. This leaves everyone, whether they need it or not to be fair to everyone, with roughly $500 per person. Would this really make a dent on world poverty?

Where are they going to spend that money? At their local Wal-Mart?

We're the ones that need the oil.
Before we even think about cutting them off we should be more self sufficient then we are now. Develop and foster the industrywide use of ethanol (and possibly methane that is naturally formed by the decompisition of organic matter)

Jesus wept.

If I hadn't actually read it I would never have believed it. Never under value a university education and where's the Phlab when you need him.

...and what's probably more remarkable, given Xanth's history of posting pedantic spelling lessons, is that no one else picked up on it and after some 12 hours Xanth has not even edited the original post.

Truly the end of his reign.

PS : come in Phlab any time you like. The moment really belongs to you.

Xanthos' only error is forgetting to capitalise the 'T'. I'm sure he's talking about 'Terrists', an alternative form of 'Terrans', ie those who inhabit the earth.

I know what irony is Gav, and that didn't even sail close. I seriously think you dropped the ball and what's more, so does everyone else.

You're screwed.
