There's numerous videos regarding the incident on the web showing the scene and/or speaking to witnesses and/or family members of the victims. The people in them are overwhelmingly, if not exclusively, African-Americans.
So if you are really having a hard time figuring out what JJ, Mott and others are saying, then I refer back to the two possibilities I already outlined.
