Why so angry? Please read my well considered post to Suzianne. You might focus on the 'better to have 40% unhappy than 49%". It is reasonable, Sonhouse, the Senate applies 60% a good bit, seems to have worked before WOKE et al took over.
"Control of a group by a majority" Yes, to me this is mob rule. You say "Joe thinks if you call democracy mob rule....." Zahlan ...[text shortened]... Mob Rule.
That's what is, Zahlanzi
Relax, anyway. You libs are going to win in the end.
So you believe in minority rule like a theocracy maybe or an oligarchy. Well fear not Joe because in reality your living in a dystopian mash up of both those alternatives to democracy.
Enjoy your serfdom.

Odd though, don't 'ya think?
Hillary Clinton got some 6 MILLION more votes,
than did TRUMP. Isn't that a majority?
Won't answer that question, Jo?
You must know that Gore won The Popular vote in 2000, too...no worry.
How about this, even simpletons seem to understand this one;
if 51% of The German population, in 1939, supported
execution of Jews, Gypsy and Homosexuals people,
did that make it right?.........You are a self proclaimed 'deep thinker,'
you must have a leaned opinion, where does Jo you stand in your
majority rules theory as applies to these humanitarian questions?

I gather you have a problem understanding written word.
I said a democracy is where the majority wins the day, whatever kind of government you want to call us, representative democracy, whatever, if the electoral college works, and gerrymandering is minimized and voter suppression is stopped then we have a working democracy,
But I gather that is not what you want to hear.
