Terms limits were no obstacle when the Venezuelan oligarchy was shuffling its domesticated technocrats. But now the electorate can vote in or vote out whomsoever they please, without hindrance from the placing of an arbitrary restriction upon that choice.

Chavez finally got what he wanted, but I don't see how this might contribute to democracy, now that other candidates don't stand a chance.
