The post that was quoted here has been removedNote that Dutchess is once again fabricating porky pies for the Chinese government.
I did not say that no Westerner says that.
I said that no report I read or watched made the comparison.
So, let’s see if I get the apology I deserve.
Oh. Wait. Naaaaaa, it’ll be more anti-West rhetoric with me being noteworthy, dishonest and ignorant...
The post that was quoted here has been removedI will agree that anti-Chinese racism is endemic in the U.S. especially since, Trump, and even more so since COVID. I also agree that anti-Chinese racism has a long history in the U.S., (Page Act, Chinese Exclusion Act, Transcontinental Railroad, etc.).
Let's say someone hates the U.S. and is prejudiced against Americans, known for hateful anti-U.S rhetoric. What if that same person then condemns the U.S. treatment of Syrian refugees, Central American migrants, blacks or Asians? Do we brush aside their criticisms because they are biased? Does one continue to defend America's treatment of minorities with claims of bigotry?
Regardless of whether or not *some* reports of China's genocide are motivated by racism, it does not change the reality of Uyghur oppression from China, including genocide, as detailed in independent reports like the Associated Press article in my previous post.
Does hateful anti-Chinese bigotry exist? Sadly, yes. Is the Chinese government an authoritarian state that frequently oppresses it's own citizens? Sadly, also yes.
