Debates

You blame migrants for a lot of problems in society. They are a diversion, they’re not the cause.

I agree completely.

I hope my post didn't come across as anti-migration or against refugees. Such debates devolve to accepting all migrants no matter what or banning them all. Both are wrong.

Whether immigrants coming to the UK or US, refugees must be accepted in an orderly, planned out manner. If not, this is how you end up with children living in cages, which fi ...[text shortened]... starting out with small numbers of refugees until a working system is in place that allows for more.
The UK (and most European countries) have a labour shortage.

Even economically it’s not feasible to keep things rolling without migration.

Or, perhaps, we should chain women to the beda and turn them into breeding machines.

Oh. By the way republicans… that is a joke and in no way a serious proposal.

That's not what's happening though.

It's not "illegals" that are being singled out, it's non-whites that are being singled out. It's Muslims that are being singled out. Just look at the title of this thread.

You pretend the issue isn't racism on a thread whose title singles out Muslims and mocks diversity.

You're preaching to the choir. I'm very much pro migration. Did anything I said indicate otherwise?

Just to be clear: do you understand that I'm only advocating for a sensible, planned approach to migration?

Yes. I have no problems curbing immigration (for a specific time, to make sure the proper infrastructure is available.

Okay, cool.

I think lack of proper planning is the single biggest issue since the Syrian refugees kickstarted the migrant crisis. Countries all across Europe welcomed them with open arms, which is a good and well-intentioned thing to do, but never properly planned for what to do once they entered.

There's a crisis in Europe with homeless refugees. That should never have become an issue in the first place. There should've been strategies to properly integrate them into society, which should have included education such as learning the local language and plans for employment.

Homelessness naturally results in crime spikes, whether from native born citizens or immigrants. Refugees were inadvertently set up for failure, resulting in a backlash against them.

European governments failing to properly plan for refugees isn't discussed enough.

This is the core issue. If the religion and culture of the immigrant is driving the criminal element then that is dangerous. Romanians commit crimes in London, but these are mostly petty theft and almost never murder and never driven by religion. These Romanians are from gypsy stock and this how they live. Muslims are the dangerous immigrants.

The other issue is that it is not up to the government and society to provide for immigrrants. If an immigrant lacks employable skills, then he should not be allowed to enter the country. It is also their responsibility to fit into the culture of the host country. If you cannot, then go back home. It is a simple matter. Some stupid posters seem to think that society needs to provide for immigrants. They need to work and provide for themselves and their families, and fit in, otherwise GTFO.
