Terrell Owens. What to do, what to do. I would like to hear especially from any Eagles' fans about whether the team should give into his demands. Personally, I cant stand him. His agent is even worse.

Team should stand pat.

You sign a contract, you honor it. Period.

Mr. Owens and his agent are displaying questionable moral behavior and the team should rise above and say 'Hey, we made this agreement, we are prepared to honor it. Are you?'

He's a cancer which needs to be excised.

But he'll still have a monster year, no matter what.

Couldn't agree more. I'm tired of seeing everyone serve to these athletes. It's time to make an example.

Also, he's asking for the type of money that Manning and other (more valuable) players are making. [As good as he is, he's not a top-notch QUARTERBACK. He's a wide receiver.] This is just plain greed.

C'mon man, he's got a family to feed! 🙄

Yea. Dont even get me started on that. At least be a man and just say you want more money. Dont hide behind your false "family needs". What a complete joke. When I learned that he was using that as his excuse, I lost all of my remaining respect for him.

Here's the catch though.

Teams can terminate players contract whenever they want to. Is it so wrong for Terrell to ask for more money? The contract he signed is basically a 2 year deal anyway. Without TO, no way the Eagles would have made the super bowl.

Can someone give me a quick run-down? Is he refusing to play until he gets paid more?

He was....... but now he is in camp causing a ruckus. He is practicing but speaking to no one. That includes his coaches, teammates and owners

Ha ha sounds very childish. If he tried to do that in our footbal league he would be dropped from the team quicker than you could blink an eye. Spoilt brat.

NFL teams are free to terminate player contracts at the end of any year; there is no such thing as a guaranteed contract in US pro football (unlike virtually every other sport). Fans never complain when players get their contracts terminated and it is hypocritical to say a player should "honor a contract" when the teams don't. If the Eagles get rid of TO, I'd be very happy as a Giants fan.

Yea, in the long run it would probably work in our favor if they got rid of him. As long as we DONT get him. I doubt he would get along with the Giants' organization......... or any other organization for that matter. 😛

Also, referring to the fact that teams can cut up players' contracts: I dont agree with this policy either, but it still doesnt give players the right to try and boost their own contracts once they have signed for said amount. Two wrongs dont make a right.

I'm sure there are ways the Eagles can penalize TO if he doesn't do what they like and I'm sure those are covered by the general clauses in the league rules covering player contracts. The point is if it is legal for the Eagles to terminate the contract, they why shouldn't it be legal for TO? If he violates the rules he can penalized or cut which is what the rules say. If the Eagles don't think he'll contribute as a team player, cut him; but I assure you someone will pick him up (probably Al Davis; imagine him paired with Randy Moss!).

Who gives a flying f--k. Let him go out a get a job in the real world. I'm tired of these athletes and celebs who are full of themselves, aka Mr Crowe and Mr Cruise to name a few more.

LOL. Thanks for reminding me of him...

"It's only $10,000". Christ. I wish I had that kind of money to throw around. 10k doesnt even make a dent in his bank account. See, at least he was honest about it though. Unlike Mr. "family-needs-food-on-the-table" Owens. Please...

But both of them together? O boy. That's just another soap opera waiting to happen.
