Is that in order to have the drug games, the drug drug free games and the drug free drug free games?
there is a big difference - today there is nowhere for a drugged up sportstar to go except the "drugfree" olympics.
simply giving them an outlet would mean that most keen sports-drug-users would end up in the drug games.
as you suggest there would still be some covert drug use at the "drug-free" games - but it would be drastically reduced - and the drug-games would go berserk breaking records !
One of the problems is the line between what does and does not constitute a drug. Keeping in mind that drugs are just chemicals that affect the body, when does a drug have too profound a change?
For example, there are variety of "enhancers" that are permitted by the NBA that are illegal in MLB and vice versa. Why? Obviously there is no consensus on the issue.
Vitamins are drugs, protein shakes are drugs, aspirin, Bengay or IcyHot are drugs. These are obviously far less of an influence than some steroids, but they all have an influence on the body which are unachievable naturally. Before we can tackle the problem, the question remains: what should or should not be used as drug aid in sports play.

i believe it is rife.
i think we need two separate athletic events: the drug games and the drug free games.

Originally posted by flexmoreMore than a couple of countries would be missing but some do come to mind. If you are happy to wave your flag over an athlete, you should be prepared to ensure it is not waving over a drug cheat.
but what would the olympics do without its two biggest teams?
I would not mind seeing only Iceland and Fiji left competing if need be - at least it would be honest.
