Elon Musk said the words “cis” and “cisgender” are now considered slurs on Twitter and suggested that “repeated, targeted” use of those words could be subject to suspensions.
“Repeated, targeted harassment against any account will cause the harassing accounts to receive, at minimum, temporary suspensions,” Musk wrote on Twitter just after midnight Wednesday morning. “The words ‘cis’ or ‘cisgender’ are considered slurs on this platform.”
The "free speech absolutist" who kept crying about censorship on Twitter considers "cisgender" a slur. Meanwhile, ACTUAL slurs skyrocketed on Twitter after Musk took over:

Basically, cis is Latin for “on this side” (roughly, or so I was told).
The problem obviously being that if you’re in the LGBTQ community (they really need a more catchy name though), how else do you talk about the normative group?
You could call them “normal” , but then you are assuming that other people aren’t normal. And that’s just not a very nice label, especially, if you are in the non-normative group.
As for problematic in the whole debate, I would suggest the implying that gender is “assigned” at birth is more of a problem than the use of cisgender.
The removal of the biological; being replaced by own-identity as the bases of gender is somewhat narcisstic and a very shady way to define something or someone.

@vivify saidi have uninstalled twitter a long time ago. i used to get some news tidbits from various sources i trusted, the occasional funny cat. Now most of the stuff in the feed is basically anything that asperger manchild retweet, most of the respected channels are gone, the app is unusable.
