Maybe STANG is a one-trick pony, but sometimes he does respond to other people's posts and gets a half-a**ed dialogue going. At least that's a little more constructive than this thread which starts with the ridiculous premise that people who oppose Bush's policies are simple "Bush haters".
it doesnt make a difference, marauder. and you know it. even if he WAS here, he would just come in and say "bush is a warmonger and a liar". the he would go on his merry way.
in fact, i hope this thread WILL be here when he gets back. i dont necessarily disagree with everything that he has to say, but i think the way in which he says it is ridiculous. if ...[text shortened]... he would change his ways for the better, not get banned, and still manage to further his cause.

I'm not making him out to be some kind of ignorant buffoon. The original poster may (or may not) have had that intention. That is certainly not my intention in this thread. I'm not trying to "make fun of" or "talk s**t" about him. I'm just saying if he made some changes in the way he presented his material, it would most likely be better for everyone.

Originally posted by lioyankIf it makes you right wingers happier to believe that people only oppose Bush's policies because they are "Bush haters", go ahead. But I find it ironic that people criticize STANG for being one-dimensional but this clown can start a thread with its main premise that there are these "Bush haters" who will be lost when Bush is out of office. How absurd is that! I'm sure they'll be somebody else for us to irrationally hate since it is utterly impossible that we would just think that a world with a less aggressive US foreign policy might be better. No way; we're just haters!

This thread wasn't made to critisize anyone. It just seems to me people devote an awful amount of time hating one man, who will be out of office soon. Gone and good riddence. There are far more important things to be up in arms about. Does anybody care about Chinas human rights abuses? How about child poverty? How many of you have written letter to your MP or Representative to tell them that this is an issue important to you? All these activist seem to like to do is scream their lungs out about how they're morally outraged at something picket something, then go home feeling as if thy've done something noble. Also do these people know who are the front runners to the next election? If they are as involved as they say they are wouldn't it be responsible to know who these people are, there stances on the issues, and so forth.
Originally posted by no1marauderWell, you would have to ask them. Although I doubt that's what they think.

And secondly, if you think that's what I think, then you're sorely mistaken. Nowhere in my thread did I say that. I said that I believe most ARE Bush haters, but not that they only oppose Bush's policies because of it. I'm sure many of them have many valid reasons for it, not only because they happen to be Bush haters.

I wonder what will STANG and all the other Bush haters do when his term of office is done? Probably still not add anything useful to society.
p.s I neither hate nor like the man.

Some may see him as a good host, interjecting occasionally
to stimulate conversation and then allowing others to talk.

Hatred is something that is learned. You realize this most when you have children and raise them. You see no capacity for hatred in children...until they are bombarded with it through their environment. If you have to hate something, hate yourself for not being able to control your emotions and act with responsibility.😀
