@KingDavid403 saidGuess I misread it. I will look up the parable after lunch.
I don't care if you go to hell.
Wrong forum, maybe?
Not at all. It's nothing but facts that proves who you and your false gods truly are.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidWhatever, All I said, which you ignored as a liberal, is that your country (England) is NOT a country of free speech. Let us all see if you can defend that? Let's see if you can write a 'not-personal' post this time about the issue. Free speech.
Unlike yourself, we understand free speech comes with inherent responsibility.
I guess you haven't caught up yet on that 100 year deficit.
You people. Cannot answer an issue.

@AverageJoe1 saidYour own government doesn't have free speech. They say what Trump wants them too or their in his bad book or get Fired, many of them are afraid to speak, but more and more are starting to speak out. I think it is just a matter of time before they start voicing the displeasure with King Trump and Puppet Vance and lets not forget President Musk, who is ripping apart Departments and Agencies. Best part he wasn't even elected he was appointed by King Trump!!!

@AverageJoe1 saidI'm not a liberal. I appreciate you are insulated in your American bubble, but that doesn't really mean the same thing across the pond.

The UK has a much healthier approach to freedom of speech. People should be free (and are) to say what they want, even if it is not something we agree with. But freedom of speech has responsibilities and limitations. (It really does). So while I have the right to stand up and say what I think, I don't have the right, for example, to stand up and incite people to violence.
Take, for instance, in a tennis game at Wimbledon. Does a spectator in the crowd have the overriding right to stand up and shout racist abuse at one of the players unchallenged? Of course not. They neither have the right to ruin the game for other spectators or to freely abuse one of the players. In this example they will be removed from the crowd by security and no doubt banned from reattending. And rightly so.
You guys elevate freedom of speech above other rights of equal value and that is your problem, not ours.
Sort yourselves out.
@Suzianne saidI don't ignore it.
And yet you ignore the sociopathy of the Trumpublican Party. Typical.
I just say that we are far better off with a controlled border, DOGE and other Trump policies than we would be with democrats running the ship aground.
Just California... they spend $10 billion a year now on medical care for the illegals.
How fuuking cool is that. then they can't afford to put the fires out

Canada continues to provide support to the United States as they battle the devastating wildfires in southern California. On January 13, the province of Alberta sent a trained and experienced crew of 40 Type 1 wildland firefighters and two support staff.

@AverageJoe1 saidAre you fuuking KIDDING? He continued to berate Zelenskyy and would not let him even TALK and Vance and Trump both treated Zelenskyy like he was an errant boy scout.
Sonhouse, I have seen the video. Trump was perfect with his demeanor admit it. Admit it. You cant see the forest for the hate. Was it OK that Trump said Obama sent blankets (sheets) to Ukraine, and Biden a few piddling javelins.
You should stop using the word bully, as you are one. Remember the little girls in the swimming pool event.
ZELENSKYY IS THE LEADER OF A SOVEREIGN COUNTRY and should not be treated like a slave. He is due the dignity of a leader.
@sonhouse saidI'm glad you introduce the word 'dignity' here - with dignity and respect Ukraine wouldn't be in their present situation. The two giants have decided to ignore both attributes.

@Torunn saidAttributes they never had in the first place. And the word 'giant' is not what I would use to describe them, either of them, more like "barbarian'' fits them better.

@Torunn saidWell, Trump owes Putin for winning the White House in 2016.
Who would have thought that America would side with Russia...?
Every bit of interaction between them going forward from that is based on this 'payback'. It's sad and despicable.
And I view it as Trump siding with Russia. America has not sided with Russia except for some Trumpublicans who mimic everything Trump does.
Soon after Putin invaded Ukraine in 2015, there were some Republicans, some on this very forum, saying "What has Putin done wrong? Nothing." They were already all in for him. This is because on the campaign trail in 2015, Trump continually praised Putin as "a great leader". So naturally all the Trumpers automatically loved Putin too. This is how deep the sickness runs.
@Very-Rusty saidAmerica will remember their friends. America's friends, not Trump's criminal buddies.

@Earl-of-Trumps saidJust like Trump, you are quick to criticize how others handle the hard job of governing, then, once he gets started trying to govern his way out of a paper bag, he fails. That's worth remembering.

Remember how he was going to fix the high prices on Day One? Well, he 'fixed' them, alright. Fixed them in stone.
He needs to quit criticizing how others with more acumen handle things when he can't handle anything.
