Brussels urged to dismantle 'German European empire' or 'pay price' of lost sovereignty:

German economic sociologist and emeritus director of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, Wolfgang Streeck, warned the EU is increasingly looking like a bloc of states run by Germany.

In an interview with Noemi Lehoczki, author at the Hungarian left-wing news site Mérce, Mr Streeck said that an "empire" run by Germany could only result in "perennial tensions" between member states and the eventual collapse of the bloc.

Instead, he claimed, the EU should look into dissolving into cooperation of sovereign states following the model of the Nordic Council.

He said: "If the EU continued to develop the way it did since the 1990s and until the financial crisis, it would result in Germany, with or without France, governing the rest of the member states through the Brussels bureaucracy.

"In fact, one reason why I am against the kind of European Union that has been shaping up for the past two decades is that Germany would inevitably be its hegemony, more or less hidden behind a deeply asymmetrical alliance with France.

Maybe we fought to world wars trying to prevent the inevitable economic and political domination of Western Europe by Germany. How many more pointless battles shall be won or lost before its neighbours accept reality.
There are worse entities in the world to be satellites of than Germany, perhaps it’s the only option for Western Europe to remain as an independent region in the future. Cultural independence of its satellite nations will probably survive just as Scotland’s survived the economic and political domination of England.

I have nothing against Germany as an independent state but would like to see the dismantling of the bloc.

As a 'post-Brexit Brit' I would like to see the dismantling of the bloc, which in the long run, would be for the benefit of all concerned (including the UK as a trading partner). After the fiasco of the vaccine rollout by the EU it is only a matter of time anyway.

Why do self-claimed Chinese presume to have any opinion at all outside the Han Oligarchy? Surely they should be more focused on regaining the dictate of heaven?

I would love to see Germany take the lead control of NATO. Then, I would not care whether NATO exists or not.

She's never claimed to be Chinese.

However the government of China is obsessed with spamming propaganda worldwide for the benefit of the prestige and respect of China. It's part of their game plan.

But here's the bigger question, ATY, does China want their spambots to be aggressive racists?

Yes* they are very arrogant and almost always talk down to others. They also have a divide and conquer strategy in which they hope to strip minority ethnic support for the rich and powerful Anglos who dominate this country of ours. China sees Anglo America as it's one and only rival and they will never stop trying to make them look bad and China look good.

An article about an example of Chinese nationalist spam:

A pro-Chinese digital propaganda network is attempting to discredit COVID-19 vaccines distributed in the United States, according to a new, independent report by the social media research firm Graphika.

Another example:

BEIJING — The Facebook page of Taiwan’s president-elect was flooded Thursday with tens of thousands of pro-China comments following a campaign by young mainlanders to jump the country’s “Great Firewall” into normally forbidden overseas social media to express displeasure over the recent election.

*She's not actually racist she's just targeting a perceived rival
