UNREDACTED FBI DOCUMENT SHEDS NEW LIGHT ON WHITE SUPREMACIST INFILTRATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT
Since 2000, law enforcement officials with alleged connections to white supremacist groups have been exposed in more than a dozen states, while hundreds of federal, state, and local law enforcement officials have been caught expressing racist, nativist, and sexist views on social media, “which demonstrates that overt bias is far too common,” German noted in the report.
“Efforts to address systemic and implicit biases in law enforcement are unlikely to be effective in reducing the racial disparities in the criminal justice system as long as explicit racism in law enforcement continues to endure,” German wrote in that report. “There is ample evidence to demonstrate that it does.”
The article links two government websites; one being to government link of the report, and the other two Whitehouse.gov, detailing white supremacist infiltration of police throughout the country.

White Supremacy in Blue—The Infiltration of Local Police Departments
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) first raised concerns about the white supremacist infiltration of law enforcement in a 2006 intelligence assessment, but there have been repeated indications that the presence of white supremacists in police departments remains a nationwide problem.
This is similar to the problem in Germany.
"Germany: Right-wing Extremism Within Law Enforcement. German law enforcement recently revealed that agents within its ranks exchanged neo-Nazi and racist content on chat groups. The discovery affirms on-going concerns that the police are downplaying the dangers stemming from right-wing extremism, considered to be the greatest threat to Germany’s security."
I believe it is actually the case that many Police, servicemen, etc., become racists while in the line of duty, or simply always have been low-key.
I think it's rather rare for someone to be a radical white supremacist and then join the police or some other force for that explicit reason.
This is, of course, an important narrative for the left, though: the only way that they can try to prop up their conspiracy about blacks being endless victims of policing and never a problematic demographic for police is holding a perpetual witch hunt in which every instance found is treated to a national news story.
But they're so bad at it -- the Michael Brown & Trayvon Martin cases, for instance, ultimately showed how even when the media tries to cherry pick cases of black victimization, they can't even do it right.
The Chauvin trial has been their biggest success so far: a drug addicted criminal dying of chomping down speedballs to get rid of the evidence is their greatest case because, generally speaking, kneeling on him that long was not a good choice.

It was murder.
Being an apologist for racists is what is "not a good choice".
@philokalia saidAnd you believe this because... why?

Vivify provided evidence demonstrating the truth of what you call "an important narrative for the left"!
@suzianne saidIt depends on how you define murder.

It makes much more sense to think of it as negligent actions.
Every year, doctors kill hundreds of thousands of people through medical malpractice. However, since they are regularly engaging in sitautions where people can die, it has been determined that there is some acceptable error rate, and doctors can even get insurance to protect against these suits.
It would make sense if the mistakes of police were engaged with in a similar way, with a similar vocabulary.
There was no personal or racial motive for the death; there was no motive to murder. It was a policing mistake in a tense moment.
@athousandyoung saidI actually did not see any numbers or anything substantial in what he said that would demonstrate that these people are hardcore white supremacists, or, even more interesting, that it is part of an effort toward organized infiltration.
And you believe this because... why?

Derek Chauvin is a convicted murderer. By law!

Law enforcement becomes racist after seeing all of the crap day after day.
How about we show the FBI'S statistics on violent crimes based on race per capita?
Let's do that one next so I can get a laugh when all of the white liberals can go through the stages of denial, then rage, then they will blame Trump for... something 😆
@very-musty saidAs the government link shows, people who were already racist infiltrate police, and this is a national problem.
