A friend with severe and painful lymphoedema has to pay for 2 seats. She'd be very happy to pay 25% extra fare to get a 25% wider seat. Lymphoedema isn't rare.
I'm sure parents of 4-year-olds would like to buy smaller seats with an appropriate discount as well.

Some people are fat, not by their own choice. And some people are deaf or blind because of their own choices.

Cars and car seats have been getting bigger, but it seems seats on most mass transit systems have been getting smaller, or stayed the same size as they have always been. Staying the same size means seats have not kept up with the increasing size of first world derriere. Airlines should differentiate seating size to match the distribution of population bum size.

Have you any idea of the trajectory for obesity in the west, and particularly in the US, I’m sure some entrepreneurs will see the profit margin in accommodating these people.

For the record, my post here tries to once again make you libs see how corporations work and how they do not have to adhere to a dam thing that you libs beg for. I think some of you want a deli owner to divide up all of his profits every day with the employee. Does that apply to airlines as well? You guys don't know how things work.
