I think we're lucky that they used the same format and they didn't even look like the real thing. Thankfully these Republicans were stupid enough to make that mistake. Otherwise this would have changed not just one, but FIVE elector votes in the US election. Probably someone looked closely and spotted one of the fake documents and once they realized what was going on they started digging deeper and found the other four. I get chills just thinking of how razor close we came to seeing major election fraud.
For those of you who are left leaning, I can see why you want to take away guns from the general population. If FIVE people out of only 330 million stoop so low as to print silly looking fake documents, obviously we don't deserve to be free, especially those of us who lean right. I am personally embarrassed for supporting concept such as freedom and limited government after seeing this. Obviously my love of personal rights is in reality just a subconscious desire to cheat in elections.
Often I am concerned about the integrity and skill of government workers. I suggest we build a statue to honor these great federal archive workers for spotting this forgery and saving democracy itself.
Now that we have uncovered this potential fraud, naturally we'll be taking countermeasures to ensure it never can occur again and now our elections will truly be hack proof. I was thinking, currently in the US we lose $21 billion a year in IRS fraud, $56 billion a year in Medicare fraud, $60 billion a year in bank fraud, and $8 billion a year in SS fraud. Why not reassign the election workers in a low population state like Montana and put them in charge of security for IRS, Medicare, and SS? They will be able to make all those systems hack proof too, and we know that they can even do that without even requiring anyone to ever show an ID.
Edit: I almost forgot. We need to subpoena all Trump's email, text, and phone records to figure out exactly how he was involved in this.
I wonder have any journalists asked the people at the national archives if they've ever received emails from a Nigerian Prince.
For those of you who don't know, that's a common scam. Don't ask me how I know. I'll just say I'm wiser now.
And if our national archives ever receive emails from a Nigerian Prince, that should be breaking news too.
I will say, some of these emails from Nigerian Princes look kind of fake. We should probably take a few minutes to mock Nigerians for being so ridiculous.

BTW, we don't want to take all guns from people, another repub lie and talking point when addressing the public. We don't see ANY need or use of military hardware like A15's, AK47's and the like.
There is ZERO reason for general population to have killing machines like that.

And five whole states you say!!! Whoa! Democracy itself nearly collapsed. Thankfully the crisis was averted. That would have been a real head-scratcher Jan 20th, 2021 when Trump was being sworn in. No one would have been able to figure out what had happened, but we'd all be remembering Biden being declared winner.
I just hope they do as good of a job spotting emails from fake Nigerian Princes. I mean that won't exactly destroy democracy, but it could cost US tax dollars if they fall for that scam. Constant vigilance!

If you are this good at mind-reading for hypothetical events, let's apply to another domain.
If today I open my inbox and see an email from a Nigerian Prince offering to give me 25% of a multi-million dollar inheritance, I have a few questions:
1. What is the correct level of outrage that I SHOULD have? In other words, how angry should I be? Should I contact my local news channel so they can report on an attempted fraud? Should I contact the FBI?
2. How angry WOULD I be. You have successfully read my mind about other things and deduced I'd be angry if democrats had sent fake elector votes. So you should be able to apply that skill and tell me how angry I'd get the next time a Nigerian prince emails me a fraud attempt.
3. For the "Nigerian prince" sending the fraud email, how do I view them. Do I see them as heroes? Would I buy them a beer? Is there some sort of dichotomy where I either have to be enraged by the Nigerian prince or I have to view them as heroes? Is there not any other possibilities such as indifference?

Tell me some possible way this could have played out that would have resulted in the change of a single elector. There are 538 electors in US elections. History has recorded the exact number of elector votes for each presidential election through out the whole history of the US. Nearly every politician, pundit and a considerable percentage of adults in the US knew the "scoreboard" and state results for the 2020 election at the time the electoral college was convening. How could even a single vote have changed in the 2020 election and evaded detection and be left to stand? Not only could that not happen, it's pretty far fetched that any adult could even think it were possible.
I'm going to open Microsoft Word and create a document that says "Electors from Arizona go to Donald Trump". And then I will print it. Will I have committed a crime? If I mail it to someone, is that a crime?
Should Microsoft install tracking software in Windows to make sure no one ever writes and prints a document saying "Donald Trump won Arizona"?
I keep thinking of Star Wars where Obi-Wan said "These aren't the droids you're looking for" and the stormtroopers, due to their weak minds just let them go.
Someone has put forth a non-news event as if it were earth shattering and lots of people are reacting as if they've just seen an earth shattering event. Yeah. These aren't the droids you're looking for.
Edit: It just occurred to me, if I go to a basketball game and while sitting in the audience hold up my arms indicating the last basket was a 3-pointer when it was really only a 2-pointer, am I attempting to cheat? Would they kick me out of the facility for attempting to trick the score keeper?
