If you want to fly to a town not very far away in France, you are not allowed to. You are required to drive, or take a plane. You have no CHOICE! This is a Law.

I was just going to move to France, but now I do not want to live there.

@AverageJoe1 planes leave a huge carbon footprint. I realize you do not believe climate change is a real threat. This ban is no different from banning your right to pee and poop wherever you want, poisoning everyone's water.

You know, the footprints that people leave on the streets in SFrisco is enough for me to think about, to dwell upon, to shovel up their crap. That is in the front yard of America, an american problem, whjich may be best addressed, since the Chinese and Indians pollute everything a lot more than we do, wasted effort if you think about it. PS: Tell you what, when your rich private-plane libs quit their jet carbon flying all over the place, I will stop flying in planes. Some, like that very strange Leonardo de Caprio, actually fly all over the world to attend anti-carbon meetings. It is so well known thta I am not even going to link the articles.
