A gas station/convenience store is a normal public business.
Bars that cater to a criminal element and allow drug dealing and prostitution inside the establishment is a totally different thing.

The Police (not some woke group of liberals) want it temporarily closed down
until some security features are installed. (ie CCTV and security and lighting)
Now while that would be unacceptable in most western countries it seems not
out of the ordinary when you need guards and cameras for schools.
The building is one of the newest in the area, it's lit up like a Christmas tree on the outside. Where did you read that they don't have security cameras in the store?
The cops want the store to hire security? WTF are the cops for?
Even so, the problems aren't so much in the store, but in the area around it. Is the store responsible for patrolling the street in front of it?
