What? How is that possible... look at the poll results... 65 percent say he is in bottom third. Who did they poll that ranked him number 10?

He killed America... in my opinion the worst leader of a world power in HISTORY.

In the old days i don't believe the Presidents had nearly as much power as they do today and were mostly not noted for doing much. It wasn't until we got involved with the European countries and European wars that the Pres. gained more power. I guess i like George Wash the best. He didn't do much and stayed out of our lives. And he never lied.

Have you ever heard of Andrew Jackson? Tell me again US Presidents have no power.

not so ... how many people would have voted for W. H. Taft? you, and a few dozen centenarians, max.
How about James Madison? Or James K. Polk? How many non-morons would rate Dubya has a better president than either?

You mean King Andrew. He openly defied the Supreme Court and caused the murder of thousands of native people. His legacy is the Trail of Tears.
He was a worse president that Bush.

Edit: Does that mean his approval rating of 30% (?) is wrong?
What it does is show that the American public is ignorant of history and unable to focus on anything for too long a period.

Bush's approval rating is 30%; nowhere near that number rated him as the "Best President" in the poll (it doesn't have numbers, but Lincoln was #1 with 20% and Bush was #10, so he must have gotten less than 10% - a tiny minority).

The poll only had 10 presidents before FDR and the 12 since, so it's hardly an accurate survey anyway.
I suppose it all depends on who you ask. I think Lincoln is a terrible choice for the top spot since he did such a terrible job managing the country that the South seceded and plunged us into a civil war, killing over hundreds of thousands of Americans and decimating the South. Also, FDR -- puhleaze. The country is still trying to divest itself from the construction of the welfare state, which he was architect of and oversaw. Kennedy? Why? He was so inexperienced that Khrushchev bullied him at every step of his presidency, forcing him to finally threaten nuclear annihilation to regain the balance of power with the Russians. Remember the Bay of Pigs? A complete fiasco. Also, he got us into Vietnam and allowed nukes into Cuba on his watch. Lastly, he was so unpopular that a communist sympathizer assassinated him, which is really hard to do for a Democrat. Kennedy was a terrible president.

You've never actually read a history book have you? The fantasies you have about the past are at least as bizarre as the ones you have concerning the present.

You would lose that bet -- I read "High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton," by Ann Coulter.

Showa shi? Why do you bring up... not a US President. And, he made Japan a better place... industrialized and improved economy. Nothing wrong with him except for his insistence on such rigid control.
