Ah I did forget, the wind blows all the CO2 up into the stratosphere, and keeps it there! How stupid of me.

1)Quite true, I feel deforestation is not good, however I don't think it is going on to the extent that it will affect the atmospheric balance of the globe.
2)If (1) can be settled then (2) will not be a problem
Oh, so since you "don't think", then it obviously isn't true. Idiot. At least one thing is true. You are young, and will have to deal with this for fra longer than the rest of us.

No, but it does prevent the stratification that you talk about.

Not at all. Stars often get hotter as they age.

I am prepared to take the risk as I feel it is a small one. What I am far more concerned about is running out of oil.

Not in the last 30 years though.

You're prepared to take that risk - with MY life.

Yes, even more confidently than I'm prepared to take it with my own life.

Well, I'm not prepared to take that risk. The climate is altering to conditions we have never experienced before in our evolutionary history (we've had agriculture for the last 13,000 years, and, until now, our CO2 conc. has never went above 300ppm CO2. Our global temperature is higher than it has been in over 400,000 years). Our entire civilisation is based on conditions from 100 years ago. We wouldn't build most of the worlds cities where they are if we were doing it 100 years from now. That alone should tell you something.

That is mere speculation, you don't know it.

I want to see some black and white conclusive numbers on exactly how my actions have endangered or harmed your life.

If you were shown conclusive evidence then undoubtedly those that push the 'no such thing as global warming' envelope would counter it and you would naturally believe only what they say and ...

... here we are again.

Yep, want some specifics as to how MY life has impacted YOUR life, and not just how you live off the money I earn as a productive individual.

Nice piece on the Stern report (700 pages, OMG the trees, the tress) at NotPC

The bit about the cities perhaps is speculation. I doubt many people would build cities on underwater areas though. The rest is hard fact.
