Who cares anyhow? It hasn't been proven that man is causing it. But even if we are the oil reserves will be depleted in about a hundred years and that should fix everything. The way things are going the last couple of years though I'm sure we'll be hearing about global cooling and the next ice age in another 10 years. Hey I have a great Idea. Maybe we can all reverse our air conditioners and cool the earth!!!!! 🙂))))

Wow, I seem to be touching nerves, scared of cogent argumentation?

If you'd bothered to look at any of the data, even your own "peer reviewed" paper you posted, the global trend is that it is getting warmer, by averaged local trends or adjusted global trends, whichever you prefer. One minute you say it's getting warmer, but say that it's a natural process, the next you're claiming it's not getting warmer at all. Make up your mind.

On giving up, my mother always said "Never argue with a fool, people may not be able to tell the difference" But with your style of idiocy, I think I'm safe, so I won't be giving up any time soon.

As for reversing our air conditioners, I trust it was a statement made in jest, if not, I'll give you a lesson in thermodynamics too.

The Global Cooling "consensus" was only a consensus between news agencies in the 70's, not scientists.

Sure, it hasn't been conclusively proven to be anthopogenic climate change;however, if were being poisoned and we're 90% certain the butler did it, would you at least think about asking some questions?

Interesting how the same can be said of you, considering your lack of a strong defence.

Yep and when it becomes clear the butler was nowhere near the kitchen, I'd ask what the cook was doing! The very thing you should have been asking in the first place!

The thing is, all the credible evidence shows it was the butler.

Your evidence is analogous to a rumour heard by someone in the next county who always thought the butler was "such a nice young man".

But that's where you're wrong my dear Watson. All the "conjecture and wishful thinking" says it was the butler! The actual evidence points to the most obvious choice: the cook! But because constable Gore and his vegetarian sidekicks don't like the butler, the cook is overlooked and the least likely candidate is singled out.

Your 'evidence', if you can call it that, is like the story about the emperor with no clothes... the people along the route are too scared to say out loud that ahhmmm he's not actually wearing any, so they just repeat what they've heard and have been told to say.

I agree. But what if the consensus between news agencies suggested filling all the space shuttles up with water. Then launch the shuttles to the sun to put out some of the fire. The idea would be to put out some of the fire on the sun to make it cooler and stop global warming for all planets. Would you agree to that consensus? Now mind you it hasn't been conclusively proven that it would work, but would you go along with it like you are with the other BS?

i was hoping we get another global warming thread with 1000 posts. but since someone(not giving names but it starts with s and ends with pastigov) cheated and smacked us with a dozen threads on the same issue it seems no 1000 milestone will be crossed

would you stop and reason for yourself? just because people don't like gore ad some of the AGW dude, they dismiss the hole idea.

If you don't believe what they are saying just look at it logically. Fine, don't buy a solar car or a car that consumes less because the earth is warming. buy it because we don't have unlimited supplies of oil and we need the oil for more important stuff than getting your lazy ass to the supermarket.
recycle, economize on energy, stop smoking. doesn't matter what the reasons for doing this are, it would still be good for you.
