@divegeester But the man was alone so he created women beautiful
Then god made his first mistake - he gave her a tongue.
Next stupid question please....
<grin>
-Removed-In many cases both partners grew up in abusive homes and are abusive to each other. Yes there are some cases where the guy is just a total asswipe* and needs to have his nuts chopped off and be thrown in jail. I would say that type of guy is a very small majority of domestic abuse cases.
I would say a more common case of domestic abuse is that you found the one that won the fight.
But most cases are probably escalation from words to physical violence and the nagging advice could prevent this kind of abuse.
@eladar saidYou're still blaming the victim, only with more words.

@suzianne saidBlaming? I am not blaming anyone.

As I pointed out there is more than one situation that falls under abuse.
Who is the victim if both partners are being physically abusive? Yes, this is one of multiple situations, but it is a type of abusive relationship out there. Which one is the victim if they are hitting each other?
@eladar saidThat scenario is maybe a single-digit percentage.

The overwhelming scenario in domestic abuse is the man beating on the woman.
You're suggesting she wouldn't get beat if only she'd stop nagging him.
This is the definition of blaming the victim.
@suzianne saidIn the scenario I gave it looks like a man beating a woman. Why? Because she lost.
That scenario is maybe a single-digit percentage.

I am suggesting that in many cases if the verbal argument does not escalate, the abuse does not happen.
The only reason the man ends up beating the woman is because he is bigger and stronger. If the woman were bigger and stronger she would be doing the beating.
