Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office has issued a statement after top House Republicans demanded that Bragg testifies to Congress on a possible indictment of former President Trump.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and the other top Republicans on the Administration and Oversight committees on Monday sent a letter to Bragg demanding that he turn over documents related to his Trump investigation and testify before Congress after reports said Trump could face an indictment this week.
@vivify saidHe should tell them to GFT; Congress has no authority to interfere with a Grand Jury impaneled by a local DA.

There hasn't been an indictment, never mind a plea deal or trial, so what is the basis for your "misdemeanor if found guilty" claim?
In any event, it's still none of Congress' business.
@no1marauder saidMaybe you can tell us what the charges are, and if it is a misdemeanor or a felony. It sure would clear up a lot of these posts.

@AverageJoe1
My my, is it my eyesight? I do not see ONE republican with a poster board on a stick with writing on it. Not oNE!
If this persecution were happening to you weenies, you would stark raving mad. In the street!!!! 1000 of you.
( never been in a street myself)
How do libs make money when wandering in streets? How do the rabble in Miami Beach make money?
Why do libs write little phrases on their poster boards? What is the end result of having someone maybe reading the phrase ?
@averagejoe1 saidNo, I can't tell you what the charges are in an indictment that doesn't exist.

@no1marauder saidjuI haven't studied if there is a charge, But I have heard the statute of Limitations has run, and I assumed that there would have to have been a charge, upon which to make a judgement on applying the statute..
No, I can't tell you what the charges are in an indictment that doesn't exist.
Silly me.
A judge worth his salt will throw this out the day he gets it on his desk. Bootstrapping a State misdemeanor, where the Statute has run, to a Federal felony.....no judge would sign on to that.
This will be HUGE for our folk hero. I know y'all have hated him since before he became president (what??), but I think he was about 91% perfect.
@averagejoe1 saidGood luck to you in your professional legal career.

@no1marauder saidDid Trump make up the whole arrest claim? I heard the news today and they said Trump claimed he was going to be arrested without evidence. You would think if it was not true the DOJ would have said so and called Trump a liar.
No, I can't tell you what the charges are in an indictment that doesn't exist.
@no1marauder saidI agree. Everyone should stay out of it.

I like where this is going.
@metal-brain saidThe DOJ isn't involved in the Grand Jury Trump thinks is going to indict him.

@no1marauder saidWhy not?
The DOJ isn't involved in the Grand Jury Trump thinks is going to indict him.
How many of the people on the Grand Jury are democrats?
@metal-brain saidJesus, do a Google you pathetic idiot.
Why not?
How many of the people on the Grand Jury are democrats?
And the names of Grand Jurors are not made public for obvious reasons.
@no1marauder saidThey are mostly democrats. That is obvious.
Jesus, do a Google you pathetic idiot.

Hillary did the same thing. She lied about the money that went to opposition research. She reported it as "legal services" so she must have funneled the money through her lawyer in the same way Trump did. The only difference is that Trump was paying hush $. Hillary was paying for the Steele dossier, a pack of lies used for lawfare.
"And the names of Grand Jurors are not made public for obvious reasons."
So it is a secret kangaroo court. Kind of like the shareholders of the federal reserve system, it is secret for not so obvious reasons. They are like cockroaches. They prefer the dark.
