I think you beat me by about 2 min. on this one. Oh well, they can read about it twice.

Anyone that's a veteran already has full medical benefits through the VA, what exactly were they denied?

Ya' got to read the link....
c'mon man, read up; from the link/
''..Democratic lawmakers and activists, including Jon Stewart, expressed their anger and frustration on Capitol Hill on Thursday toward Republican senators who blocked a bipartisan bill that would expand health care access for military veterans exposed to toxic burn pits...''

A) Screw Republicans

B) Has anyone brought up why the U.S. military uses practices known to cause cancer and respiratory illness in soldiers? Is there any accountability by the military? Shouldn't lawmakers sponsor a bill explicitly barring such practices?

......US Military also largest polluter.
Took the guys like 25 years to get an Agent Orange Settlement.
It's tough to take 'em on.
I wonder if the Gitmo prisoners, never convicted of any crime, will see $.
Took 'em 50 years to pay the interned Japanese, by then half
of 'em were dead.....They're tough to fight...deep pockets.

Yes, they're hard to take on because they're the government. Which is why Congress should demand restrictions on what the military exposes soldiers to.

Are you a veteran? Have you sacrificed to the same level for your country? Sounds like you like the benefits but don't like paying the cost.

Yes I am a veteran, twice over.
I served in Vietnam in the Army.
Then I was a B-52 navigator in the Air Force.
Is that good enough for you?
At any rate, I read the article, it says nothing about what benefits they are extending to veterans in the bill that they don't already have.
All veterans are 100% covered through the VA.

Army and Air Force, huh?
Navigator, B-52's even........OCS?
Pretty big bird for such a small man.
What outfit were you with in the Army?
Do people believe you when you
tell them that you were in The Military?
Never heard a GI brag about,
''bringing my 9's to California..''
Sounds wannabe', but that's just me.
196th Light Infantry Brigade....Da Nang...1970

Hell, Congress didn't even want to cover first responders on 9/11 until Hillary Clinton, then a senator from NY, went to Capitol Hill and raised some hell for them.

Have you EVER been inside a VA hospital?

It's disgusting how vets are treated in this country. It's no surprise why a lot of them end up on the streets.
