They have to have a public reason but the private reason was because they were ticked the climate bill is about to be passed by dems. Their nay vote had nothing to do with bits and pieces of the vet bill, they need cover so they won't look so bad, they THINK.
BTW, my time was on the predecessor to the B52, 4 years on the B47. I wasn't spraying people with anything, I did have to go out in the field to pick up bits and pieces of a crashed B47 however, finding bits and pieces of the crew and one dead rabbit blackened and bloated by the fire. My job was to repair broken electronics and never saw battle except getting shot at once in Thailand.
Don't put down people forced into the military by the draft, I chose the USAF because I thought I would get electronics training and I did, a whole year of it, 6 hours a day 5 days a week for a full year. I didn't have a choice, go in or go to jail.
