to be honest we had little choice this election
nader is just to bizzarre for even myself
bush is ...well..to be nice about it ...a dullard
kerry was my choice
but all things are the same there
kerry is just another rich man with tons of old money
from his wife and his own money
also kerry is an illuminati (skull and bones) member
just like his buddy bush

I guess, based on those figures I presented if Bush is 'a multinational company..' he's not a very good one!

BDN you ever read Great Apes by Will Self? [...]
It's ridiculous to pretend they are human though.
I don't see the absurdity of attributing apes personhood. It doesn't equate with treating them as people--"How do you do, Mr Greystoke, please take your seat"--but rather giving them protective legal status. I've heard it said that a chimpanzee has the intelligence of a 5-year-old human being--you wouldn't want to do a Dr Mengele on a child, would you? Or destroy the child's environment for economic reasons? Of course this has happened & continues to happen--one example being indigenous rain-forest peoples; the difference between the treatment they receive from logging & fast food interests and the treatment meted out to apes is not terribly clear to me. Going further back in history, it is obvious that many primitive cultures were regarded in somewhat the same light as apes--expendable, exploitable, of questionable humanity. Treating apes well might help this sorry species salvage some of the humanity it has squandered in its cruel & dubious pursuits.
Time for a cup of tea.
