There's something illegal about having your lawyer make a payment in excess of allowed contribution limits to aid your campaign.

There's also something illegal about reimbursing him for it while claiming it was income from a non-existent retainer agreement. Giving him a fraudulent 1099 is evidence in support of that illegality despite what his lawyer unsuccessfully claimed.

The jury saw those facts clearly.

Actually it came from undisputed evidence, both by testimony and documents, at the trial.

NY does have jurisdiction over Falsifying Business Records which is what Trump was convicted of.

In your wet dreams. Sure Cohen lied a lot, but you forget one fact, it was for your orange Jesus, not for some personal gain.
He also had to fight to get paid back because he took out a house loan to get that 130K.
The bad part for Trump was CORROBORATING evidence, something you in your infinitely stupid brain refuse to discuss, papers signed by Trump's COO and others using the exact numbers to pay back Cohen and that turned out to be over twice what Cohen paid out and it was NOT for legal services, it was for hush money to Stormy.
