One thing I see, hundreds of years of slavery in the US and elsewhere and I know slavery existed in Africa also but made bigtime by the Dutch 400 odd years ago, well since they were forced to work for zero wages and subject to the cruelty of the owners and zero education, I think all that would end up with genetic changes and the hatred they obviously had and have for whitey, looks to me like it would take another hundred years or more for them to work out that hate but whitey has to admit they were wrong making their ancestors slaves and I know the right wingers would say I DIDN"T HAVE SLAVES, and of course that is right but there are still hidden corners of slavery right here in the US, not even all blacks but Asians and Hispanics get caught up in that crap also. Slavery leaves genetic marks that takes a long time to normalize.

Sure, that's the ticket, they would SURELY listen to all you have to say.
The thing about those examples you gave were relatively short term things, like WW1 and WW2 together was less than 10 years, so compare that to systematic slavery and suppression for HUNDREDS of years. BIG difference.

Kind of like Pray away the gay Pence? I imagine he thinks eugenics could solve that 'problem'....

I was in the military for four years and had a top secret security clearance, would not have made a very good traitor.
What branch of the military did YOU serve?

One generation of folks under suppression and such is not the same as endemic centuries wide slavery, that HAS to leave genetic marks on the descendants.
For one thing, centuries goes by for the slaves with not much nutrition compared to the whitey controllers who ate quite well, centuries of low nutrition has its effects.

You either cannot see hundreds of years of slavery with the Dutch death ships, you probably would actually BUY such a slave ship if you lived in those times, wouldn't you?
So imagine YOU were the product of 400 years of slavery, what would your POV be THEN, eh?

@ThatsNotMyGum
what was your last handle here?

@moonbus says -
Interestingly, most of the gun-related deaths in Switzerland are suicides, not murders or connected with armed robberies.

I believe that is true in the US as well.

62% of U.S. gun deaths are suicides
Del. Jason Miyares, R-Virginia Beach, has offered a compromise red-flag bill that would take firearms away from people deemed dangerous to themselves or others.

In my opinion, you did not see the black-on-black violence years ago that you see today.
I'm willing to suggest that it all started sometime after welfare blossomed. I say this because
it is well known that fatherless children are problem children and many men in prison do not have a father figure.

"All 68 boys, aged between 12 and 16, were from working class backgrounds, had lower than average intellectual ability, had similar problems with their peers and with hyperactivity, had equally large families, and in both groups 40% suffered from dyslexia.

But there was one "very striking" difference between the two groups: 55% of the "good boys" lived with their biological fathers, compared with only 4% of the "bad boys".
