GWB's got more nukes and less smarts. Plus he's invaded multiple countries already. Although admittedly, Chinas not the easiest place to invade....

As much as I dislike Bush, I'd have to vote for Kim Jong-Il.

Bush - Out in a couple years
Jong-Il - There for life

That just shows how ignorant popular opinion is. GWB is only a product of an already screwed up America.

Ignorance + whiney brits = this crap poll

I believe that when GWB is gone the next guy will step up and do the exact same thing, probably more covertly than the current president. The problem is our imperialistic culture and anybody who blames it on ONE person has a hard time thinking for himself.

I personally would have a hard time responding to the poll because I sort of know who GWB is, or I at least understand his position, while I have no idea about Kim Jong-Il, not who he is or what he does.

I don't see your point. Whether George W Bush's actions are exactly what any other person would do in his position does not stop people having the opinion that he is a threat to world peace while he holds that position.

Also, you suggest us British are ignorant and then confess to knowing little about Kim Jong-Il.

There are some great North Korean propoganda films available on the web that are totally uninformative but utterly frightening and bizarre.

Like this one:

The only reason there are polls with silly outcomes like this is because they make the European elite feel good about themselves; plus it takes pressure off their own failed economic, immigration, health care, energy policies.

The reason why there are polls with outcomes with this is because since Bush seized power in 2000 the USA has invaded two countries, threatened several others and interferred in the running of a few more. In the same period of time Kim Jong-Il has done nothing that affects anyone outside of his own borders.

I thought the point was clear. Let me print it again:

"The problem is our imperialistic culture and anybody who blames it on ONE person has a hard time thinking for himself."

I may know little about Kim Jong-Il, but at least I don't pretend like I know a lot and form opinions based on my ignorance. Also, I said that the british were whiney, thanks for bringing up though that they are ignorant too. 🙂

The question was not about blame but about whether George W Bush is a threat to world peace. Many people will conclude that based on his actions he is. Whether he is to blame for those actions is another question entirely and was not being asked here.

Before a threat to world peace can exist, wouldn't world peace actually have to exist?

Not really. I guess, if you want to be pedantic, then the question should have been about the threat to the prospects of world peace.

But take that up with the pollsters.

Tha fact remains that it seems a sizeable group of people in one of the US's main allies consider GWB more of a threat than North Korea, even in these times we're all being fed propaganda about how dangerous they are.
