I think he might be trying to say that America spends more money on say Iraq (for whatever reason) than something that might be seen as equally worth while.

Below is some food for thought, STANG. America is the most generous country on earth in terms of giving financially. According to the article below your statement is full of $hit, just like you are. You see, your statistics don't take into account donations by private US citizens, which counters your ridiculous assertion. Citizens in socialist E ...[text shortened]...

The US has always given aid and never got a red cent back. Hell Indonesia is prosperous as Thailand.
also-if they hadn't then the great depression wouldn't have been quite so "great". debatably.
and STANG never replies to anything. you should know that by now. some people use chess engines - complex pieces of software designed to play chess better than humans. STANG is the first known forum engine - a simple piece of software designed to irritate bush lovers by somehow incorporating the programmers distaste for bush into current events. it then posts this incorporation all over a designated forum.
it's quite clever, actually.

The table says it all.
Happy New Year America !!!
"Side note on private contributions
As an aside, it should be emphasized that the above figures are comparing government spending. Such spending has been agreed at international level and is spread over a number of priorities. Individual/private donations may be targeted in many ways. However, even though the charts above do show U.S. aid to be poor (in percentage terms) compared to the rest, the generosity of the people of America is far more impressive than their government. As discussed further below, the government spending has tied agendas that has often been detrimental to the recipient. Private aid/donation in contrast has been through charity on individual people and organizations though this of course can be weighted to certain interests and areas. Nonetheless, it is interesting to note for example, per latest estimates, Americans privately give at least $34 billion overseas -- more than three times U.S. official foreign aid of $10 billion:
International giving by U.S. foundations totals $1.5 billion per year
Charitable giving by U.S. businesses now comes to at least $2.8 billion annually
American NGOs gave over $6.6 billion in grants, goods and volunteers.
Religious overseas ministries contribute $3.4 billion, including health care, literacy training, relief and development.
$1.3 billion by U.S. colleges are given in scholarships to foreign students
Personal remittances from the U.S. to developing countries came to $18 billion in 2000 "
Source: Dr. Carol Aderman, Aid and Comfort, Tech Central Station, 21 August 2002. (Aderman admits that there are no complete figures for international private giving. Hence these numbers may be taken in caution, but even with caution, these are high numbers.)
Care to comment on the $18 billion in personal remittances? Go away you're boring, bigoted and full of SPAM
Originally posted by chaswraySo the table accounts for $10B of America's foreign aid and America privately gives an additional $34B, bringing the total to $44B, or 4.4 times as much as the figure given in the table.

America still wouldn't make it in to the top 5 countries providing foreign aid (and its even worse when you consider private contributions other countries make).
Happy New Year America !!!

you are certifiably a nazi like american hater.
War happens.
Because? Iraqi people let their guard down. Let a dictator take over. That dictator invaded Iran. Killed a million souls. Then invaded Kuwait. Then tried to kill american pilots WHO WERE ACTING FOR THE UN for ten years to enforce a no fly zone. So he wouldn't commit genecide AGAIN!
You are a simpleton. God forgive you.
Or kill yer' stupid ass and assign you to hell. Either is good.
