Touting the world wide success of their latest hybrid vehicle, Toyota today announced it's intentions to invest 20 billion dollars in a Solar Energy farm to be located in geo-cync.
The president of the worlds leading auto producer, Emily Wong, said that "The costs of producing hydrogen from solar and carbon sources has forced us to re-evaluate our stance on alternative energy. We are forced to make hydrogen using the sun or we must think of other ways of powering our autos'"
Ms. Wong cited the recent studies done by MIT which show that the only real way to get enough hydrogen to meet demands is to go to the place where the energy of the sun never stops.

BTW... I changed "Helium" to "hydrogen". That was another attempt at humor, but then after thinking about it... nobody but me would get it. Helium being inert and all.

The newly elected government today announced that they are willing to open negotiations with the League Of Democracies on the issue of prisoners held without rights.
LOD president Leo Schmertz of Israel has responded by calling a normal vote of all 100 member states on the issue. There remain a number of issues concerning illegal prostitution, child labor and other so called "slavery" issues that need to be answered, but Schmertz said that "Iraq has a good chance of gaining admittance this time around."

The world was amazed and awed at the first picures returned by the ISA "SVW PHPFC" today.
The investigators of the "peep hole planet finder camera" announced the first direct images of an earth sized planet with water and a proven oxygen atmosphere.
Tommy Blythe of the ISA said that "We are 99% sure that life is the only reason we are seeing so much oxygen in the planet. There may be other ways for this much free oxygen to envelop a CTEN planet, but we can't think of any except life. In a big way. Just like here on earth."
Blythe then examined the ten cameras data mounted on the SVW platform and indicated each research team as their data came due...

I believe early 20's there might be a 'good chance' earth will be struck by a comet or meteor (if calculations are correct). In that case, I don't think we'll be having a newspaper in 2025 because the few survivers will be living in middleages-style again.

It is widely expected that those found guilty will be prosecuted to the maximum extent of WWDOOVE law: passing lifelong bankruptcy down through all of their next 5 generations of offspring.
In extraordinary pretrial admissions of guilt FFF (Fossil Fuel Forever), GAJAP (Genes Are Just A Plaything) and AOIFF (All Oceans Industrial Fishing Frenzy) have jointly offerred an out of court settlement. They have offered execution of the present generation, and bankruptcy of only a further 2 generations, for their entire coorporate management staff from 2007-2016.
Claiming a gesture of good faith and cooperation, the AOIFF coorporate management has performed a group suicide using a NAZI style gas chamber. It is rumored that the motivation was to try to hide the trail to the evidence, to protect their great grand children, and great great grandchildren.

There is no magic. What happens will be way to violent and quick for me to care.
But it don't hurt to try and educate as to the "possibility" that we can ACT (see my rants on the nature of quantum universe) to become a "real" civilization out from earth?
