I assumed the original poster was just using eggs as the symbol for the high prices everywhere.

Oil extraction in the US is at an all time high, gas prices have been falling for years. How can rent and goods prices be solved by drilling more oil?

The only reason people are blaming Trump for egg prices is because Trump constantly hammered home the high cost of groceries while on the campaign, promised over and over again that only he could bring down costs, claimed he could do it immediately on day 1, and then as soon as he won the election he was finally asked by a reporter to explain exactly how, and he said "well, ...[text shortened]... y hard to bring these things down".
Unrealistic campaign promises, meet unrealistic expectations.

So can you tell us where Trump said he would bring down costs on 'day one'. Not the one where he said he would bring down costs beginning day one. I mean, if I tell you I am going to drive to California, it would take me 3 days. So, I would BEGIN to drive to California on the first day, but i would not arrive there on day 1.
