Right wingers here trying to deny the reality of "sex change operations", which have existed for over 70 years, in order to persecute this small minority is based on nothing more than ignorance and hate. The idea that transgender persons don't even really exist and therefore it's OK to discriminate against them has been rejected by the law including a fairly recent SCOTUS decision.
