[b]No, Donald Trump’s separation of immigrant families was not Barack Obama’s policy
I suppose keeping them in prison with their parents is an option to be considered, or perhaps you believe immigration is a natural right that the government can't deny.
Which is it?

Obama-era policies did lead to some family separations, but only relatively rarely, and nowhere near the rate of the Trump administration (2,000 separated from adults between April 19 through May 31).
"Obama generally refrained from prosecution in cases involving adults who crossed the border with their kids," said Peter Margulies, an immigration law and national security law professor at Roger Williams University School of Law. "In contrast, the current administration has chosen to prosecute adult border-crossers, even when they have kids. That's a choice — one fundamentally different from the choice made by both Obama and previous presidents of both parties."

And why no outrage when it did happen?
The issue is partisan idiocy.
Dims were not outraged about putting kids in cages separated from their parents under Obama the same way they are under Trump for the same reason that conservatives are not outraged about the spending under Trump but were under Obama.
Enough!

You can't compare the two.

Hey Left winged loons, how about a prisoner swap?
Trump will release the children in cages that were put there under Obama in return for those same Dims who put them in cages in the first place.
Hillary for prison in 2020! 😵

Or I could just disappear, along with others that upset you, and you can have your own little echo chamber.

So what is your solution? Do you want to go back to the Obama policy that "rarely" let's this happen?
Separating children was not Obama's policy; but it IS Trump's policy. His administration has explicitly said so.

Is that the solution?

Since you conservatives have no compassion for immigrants or anyone less fortunate, at least understand it makes more sense from a practical or financial standpoint not to lock them up. Offer them a path to citizenship; but since you Republicans hate (non-white) illegals, you'll probably just deport them. Just don't separate children from their families.

Again, what is your solution?
Giving them "free" stuff will only promote more to want to make the dangerous journey with their children.
That is, assuming your view is that these people are coming from hell holes like Trump said they were.

Just visit some trailer parks in some states like Mississippi or Alabama. 😀
