Unless you are a climate denier and think science is a fairy tale, you will vote Bernie because ONLY he plans to spend money to the tune of $16 trillion to combat climate change.
Who comes close to this? I say those that don't are mere charlatans.
@whodey saidBernie is a little pie in the sky and is too Utopian.

He's a little beyond Socialism.
But climate change is out there.
We need to stop being skeptical about the science.
And seek a solution that we won't be skeptical of either.
That being said ..... Science is a fairy tale ??
Really ??
What has been more generally accepted is that the Bible is a fairy tale.
But that's another thread.

You're reading comprehension inability is duly noted.
So you will vote for someone else who does not take the issue as seriously?
So this is not an emergent issue like Sanders and AOC say it is?
Are we being duped?

@whodey saidI don't believe he will be voting for anyone unless of course he has dual citizenship! π I am happy I am Canadian!

@whodey saidThe plan, like most of Bernie's ideas, is fully funded.

If actually implemented we've have a country free of fossils fuels, with low cost electricity for all, living in fully weatherized homes, with a full employment economy with millions of new high paying jobs, with new roads, clean drinking water for all, etc. etc. etc.
The details are here: https://berniesanders.com/issues/the-green-new-deal/
It's a grand plan to actually solve serious problems in the country, so naturally right wingers will do whatever they can to fight it as it might slightly inconvenience the wealthy, fossil fuel polluters, etc. etc. etc.

@whodey saidTen year plan creating a massive renewable industry base and 20 million jobs it’s either that or get left in the dust by Europe and China regarding the next industrial revolution.

But I suppose with your fossil fuel shadow government you’ll just need to keep plodding on into the sunset.

@mott-the-hoople saidIt's really not that hard; without Republican policies for the last two decades, the US would be running a budget surplus like it did for a few years under Clinton:
@no1marauder
“The plan, like most of Bernie's ideas, is fully funded.”
πππ
n 2000, the federal government ran a surplus of $236 billion. The next year, the Congressional
Budget Office projected that over the following ten years, the accumulated surplus would add up
to $5.6 trillion – $889 billion in 2011 alone.1
For the recently-completed fiscal year, 2018, the federal government ran a deficit of $779
billion.
2
What contributed to the $779 billion deficit in 2018?
• Bush Tax Cuts: $488 billion3
• Trump Tax Cuts: $164 billion
• Direct costs of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan: $127 billion4
• Base defense increases: $156 billion

@no1marauder saidSure, democrats have a long history of fully funding their ventures, no worries.

So would you agree that if you really care about this issue and really believe the severity of this issue, Bernie is the only vote that makes any sense?
@no1marauder saidRight, Clinton single handedly proposed a budget into law to balance the budget, passed the law, and signed into law.

It beats Reconciliation hands down.
Yep, the Republican Congress had nothing to do with it.
Thanks for that.
Problem is, that was back in the day where people actually seemed concerned with balancing budgets, but we don't want to become regressive again, do we?

@whodey saidI think that if any of the progressive candidates win in 2020 and if Democrats take control of Congress, something along these lines will be enacted.

Cause, ain’t nobody else gonna blow through their treasuries like Bernie.
