Originally posted by Leo2So you came online (no pun intended, to be certain) a week ago, just to post on a thread about homosexuality? Curious.
My best friend at school is gay. He doesn't hit on me (and why should he, there's heaps better looking guys around) and I don't ask him about what he does. Like we share a room but we're both cool about the situation, so what's the big deal about being gay?
Like I'm about as interested in what he does with his thingy as he is in what I do with mine. Being ...[text shortened]... ickers in a knot about it, if someone is gay, then it's because God made him that way.

I have a schoolfriend who says he's gay, and this thread seems to be about being gay, so I made a post about it. Like there's nothing strange or curious about that, is there?
If you think I'm gay, just say so? I won't be offended because I don't think there's anything wrong with being gay. Like I don't understand it, but I certainly don't think it's a crime or a sin.
I really don't know what you are on about, so please explain just what it is you are objecting to.
Originally posted by IorekSo, which one is it - a choice or a mental disorder? Make up your mind. Or are you saying that mental disorders are a choice?
Being gay is indeed a choice if you ask me. There is no medical proof that people are born this way. In fact, up until 1970 something, being a homosexual was considered a mental disorder and you were placed into an asylum. So what happened? It's not just the act of sodomy that makes homosexuality wrong and immoral, as I did read a post about heterosexuals comm ...[text shortened]... says so. And I think we all know how far the Bible goes and is believed in today's society. 🙄
Saying that it's a choice really doesn't make much sense. Homosexual people have been (and continue to be in some countries) persecuted, put into asylums or prison, or killed for their sexual orientation. Do you really think they chose that fate? Now let's assume for a moment they did indeed choose it because the choice is so attractive that it's worth being killed for it. In that case, why are there so many people who live in societies in which homosexuality is not a reason to be persecuted, who don't think themselves that it is wrong to be gay, but who nevertheless don't choose to be homosexual? And why are there people who believe that homosexuality is wrong, and who try everything to become heterosexual, but who still are homosexual?
As for the bible saying it's wrong, personally I don't care because I am not Christian, but there are many Christians who don't believe it's wrong. I recently heard part of an interview with a bishop of the Norwegian Church who had been one of those who were against it, but after several years of bible studies she came to the conclusion that it was incompatible with Jesus' view of humanity to condemn homosexuality. I won't go into a discussion about this because that would mean I'd have to do a lot of research, and I am not interested enough in this to waste my time with it. Just wanted to point out that it's not as simple as "the bible says it's wrong".

Some people here just have unresolved issues.

Well besides inserting their penis into a hole specifically designed to excrete feces, I'd say not much.....

Who is curious about gay sex?
Somehow I doubt many men here would be honest enough to say they had even considered it.
I would imagine the oral sex and hand relief would be performed better by men on men as they know what they are doing?
Whilst I've never been attracted to another man, in pure sex performance terms I often wondered in Men are naturally better than women at satisfying a man.

Telling me I'm gay. What are you, twelve years old?
I guess you're not going to answer my question... Figures.

Is psychology a medical science with factual medical basis to it? When you can show me actual DNA makeup or reactions in the brain that prove homosexuality is indeed just another part of the genetic code, which there isn't, come back. And another thing, do you believe in evolution?
Depends, psychology is certaintly very imprecise, however if you're arguing that 1970 psychology has any precision you obviously have little understanding of contemporary psychology.
And another thing, do you believe in evolution?
I suspect what your going to say if I answer yes, so in advance i am going to advise you to read my previous post.
Secondly, no one chooses their attraction, no matter how much you think. I also, have asserted that homosexuality might be the culmination of genes and/or the enviornment.
You have not adequately challenged my last post.

But do you think I chose to be attracted to her, rather than some fat, ugly 16 year old chick with braces who would jump at the chance of a boyfriend, any boyfriend? Honestly?
Doesn't this say something about choice and attraction?
