@jj-adams saidNo it’s a master bedroom with attached bath
He means sleeping on someone's couch with kitchen privileges, I think.
That's about right for LA.

$750 / 3br - Roommate sought $750 (Los Angeles)
Hello,
I have a large room for rent. Rental period beings July 1st. I ask for first and last months rent in full. Utilities are included. However, if electricity goes up due to fan usage in summer then your utilities go up.
Visitors during day is fine, no overnights. Children as overnights are ok. Your rent entitles you to the following:
private room, just painted, new carpet, 10x12
private bathroom
parking space (we need to coordinate, but you can park inside)
shared kitchen
Cleaning service, I clean the kitchen and you don't have to.
Optional perks are:
share kitchen i.e. stove, fridge, etc.
washer & dryer in house, you can do 2 loads weekly
Living room has new carpet. The rest of the house will be painted and recarpeted within a month.
Reality: I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 11 year old. Dogs bark once in a while, for the most part they are quiet.
@sonhouse saidNo like a personal shower and toilet and sink that nobody else ever uses
@AThousandYoung
Attached bath like the lake in Echo Park?

@mott-the-hoople saidWelcome to the real world, Joe Workingman. Lots of people in my neighborhood sleep on the streets blocks away from the fancy houses in Hancock Park.
rent a room? WTF
This one's going for over 6 million dollars. Walking distance from where I live. Also walking distance are streets where wretched homeless are sleeping on the sidewalk and skanky whores walk the streets at night.

Live in a nice 3 bedroom home, 8 acres of land, tending to my garden this morning.
@mott-the-hoople saidYou don't know what work is. You make money in your sleep remember?

@athousandyoung saidHere's a job I could probably get. $45 an hour.
Craigslist is really useful. I’ve found a bunch of jobs there too.

I need to get accustomed to working long hours and then I could make some serious money but I work part time at the moment and have lots of free time to myself. It's ok for now. I took a year off working because of COVID and am only slowly getting back into the grind.
The above listed job is close to me so it's probably in one of the Hagwons (Korean private schools). I've worked for them before. They have a hard time finding Linear Algebra teachers for their more advanced students. They even let you work from home via Zoom. Asians are very sensitive to the threat of COVID.
@sonhouse saidAw you caught me, u r right, I don’t live in a shack, and it is not along a river!! 2 lies. Chalk one up for the Sonhouse. I have always wondered why you don’t believe me!!
@AverageJoe1
Right, half the time you brag about how much money you have and how much Trump made all that come true and now you live on minimalist money in a shack.
And you wonder why we don't believe you.
@AverageJoe1
Talking about planning, and success and all that goes with it is not same as bragging about how much money I have or don’t have. Hell I may have made $500k off an investment last year, but given it to charity, or the church fund . So, it is not ‘money I have’.
Why are you angry all the time?
@athousandyoung saidTell those on the street to

Move over, I think we are about to admit many thousands of displaced Afghans to ‘the streets’. Ahhhh, soon everyone will be equal.
@athousandyoung saidmaybe if you didnt abuse the luxury of taking a year off work you might contribute your share of taxes
^When will you people learn that we need to to tax this idiot more?

@mott-the-hoople saidI'm angry because of the homeless wretches, not because of myself, you sick minded jackass.

There's something wrong with people like you that think you "need" 8 acres of backyard to "get by"
