NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT BANNING GUNS. There are very few countries on the planet that ban guns and most are in Asia. What people want to do is ban military grade semi-automatic weapons and the bump stock that turns weapons into automatic military grade fire arms. Also, we lefties would like a federal law that requires an individual to be 21 to buy any gun or ammunition. Individuals on an FBI terrorist watch list should be banned from purchasing a gun. If you are too dangerous to sit next to me on a commercial plane, you are too dangerous to buy a weapon. Background checks need to be enforced and strengthened. Gun manufacturers should be required to insert special locks that need a person's finger print in order for the weapon to be engaged. There should be a minimum age on when a child can go into the woods with an adult to hunt. Wisconsin moved the minimum age from 10 to 0. An 18 month old toddler can legally take to the woods with a loaded rifle. How long before a child shoots himself or someone near and dear to him or her? For those of you who think you need an AK15 and a bump stock to ward off the U.S. military, the largest and strongest military on the planet, you are a fool. If you want to protect your family from an intruder, a hand gun and hunting rifle will do the trick. Just be aware of the retired police officer in Florida who shot his son dead late one night thinking the boy, returning home, was an intruder. Anyone supporting candidates who take money form the NRA are accessories to all the mass murders that occur on a daily basis in the U.S. Requiring gun owners to purchase insurance is an excellent idea. Someone call up the insurance industry lobbying group. Maybe the gun and insurance lobbyists will have a bidding war over the purchase of politicians. Wouldn't that be fun to watch.

So do we blame knife manufacturers? Vehicle Manufacturers? The manufacturers of anything that can kill someone?

How to even reply. People are being mowed down in schools and movie theaters and places of worship. Obviously knives and vehicles can kill but not with the devastation of a military grade weapon. AGAIN, NO ONE IS ADVOCATING TAKING AWAY ALL GUNS, JUST THE ONES THAT ARE SEMI AUTOMATIC AND THOSE MADE AUTOMATIC WITH A BUMP STOP. CONSERVATIVES, LIBERALS AND INDEPENDENTS ARE ASKING FOR REASONABLE CONTROLS: 21 TO BUY, INSURANCE, SAFETY FEATURES ON GUNS, BACKGROUND CHECKS, BANNING SUSPECTED TERRORISTS AND THOSE DEEMED TOO INCOMPETENT TO MANAGE THEIR OWN AFFAIRS AND NO MILITARY GRADE SEMI OR AUTOMATIC WEAPONS.
