INDEPENDENT from POTUS.
Now he thinks he owns the place and named individual names and TV networks like CNN and MSNBC his toadies should go after.
So he thinks he is a king now, LITERALLY since it IS the kings of old who were the law, whatever they said WAS the law.
Last I heard we still had a democracy here in the US but between president Musk and Vice president Trump, tearing apart government, like this one:
Killing the Alaskan volcano research arm, in the face of an active volcano in the process of going off, it is Mount Spurr with daily monitoring of the volcano and it is starting to spew clouds of steam and such RIGHT NOW and they are warning Anchorage residents to prepare for an eruption.
So why NOT just kill the science unit studying that particular volcano?
It is just this kind of nonsensical firings that shows they are not interested in actual working government, just a show of power, I can fire 80 thousand veterans and you citizen minions get over it.

This is very likely to occur here in the next little while, though the gap between the ruling Liberals and the Conservatives has lessened by a lot since the change in the leadership of the Liberal party.

Given Trump supports far right wing heavily armed militias which are found in every state, these threats are taken seriously. The US is rapidly becoming a banana republic. Oppose Trump and your car might blow up when you start it up or your kids might disappear.

But one nugget, your reference that POTUS be separate from President?? Then seriously......let us assume, Heaven Forbid!!!....that the last four years of the DOJ were rife with mismanagement, for lack of a better word, and that (if that is true sonhouse, ..play along here...) that someone or some entity should look into it, according to millions of citizens, (ours, not yours).
The President of our country, charged with management of his administration which oversees said government, instructs someone to look into it, since he does not want a legacy of said slime.
