@sh76 saidAre you really such an [expletive referring to a human body part deleted] as to deny people died from omicron?
I actually do know several people who were hospitalized with covid (none that died, thankfully).
But all of them were the original or Delta. I don't know a single person who was hospitalized with Omicron.
I'm not sure it's fair to even call Omicron by the same name as the Wuhan original and Delta. The viruses may be structurally similar, but they're so different in risk an ...[text shortened]... ere both "flu" but if one followed the other, it would be misleading to call them the same pandemic.
You've been absolutely incredible since the pandemic started; surely you can't believe the BS you pedal here.
@no1marauder saidCovid maximiser incoming 10, 9, 8, 7....

@sonhouse saidHere's a theory: Previously (in this very thread) you have admitted you may have had covid already and not known it.
@sh76
That was just a theory, she could have caught it elsewhere but she didn't go out much except to doctors. I have my theory but not open to discussion here.
Can you confirm you practice correct mask procedure and social distancing around your wife at all times.
No slip ups. Be honest.
@sh76
The bottom line is nature is smarter than humans and it looks like nature wants less humans on the planet and we get knocked down every hundred years or so and we fight back with science but there is always something new nature brews and it is the height of arrogance to suggest this stuff came out of a Chinese lab, we are not even CLOSE to be able to make such specific viruses, we haven't even fully understood HIV yet and folks think THAT came out of a lab too, arrogant is a weak word for such nonsense.
@sonhouse saidNature doesn't have a consciousness, it can't be smart or dumb. However even without a consciousness it is indeed smarter than some humans, you being an example of one such human.

Proper mask procedure and social distancing are methods to lower the chances of infection.
They don’t infections completely (unless we’re talking total isolation, etc. ).
You are so full of it, you little Aussie incel, you.
@shavixmir saidYou're a bit slow to the party shag, but then you're a bit slow in general haha.

sonhouse went off into one of his rants accusing a maskless ambulance attendant whom he didn't know was covid positive/negative for infecting his wife. He has also admitted that he may have had covid himself unknowingly (sounds suspect but we have to give benefit of the doubt) The question was: Does sonhouse practice what he preaches and at all times follows correct mask procedure (clean shaven, fit tested fresh N95, does not constantly handle the mask up and down) and social distancing while at home with his wife. If not then it's more likely she caught the kungflooey from him.

Learn to read, idiot.
I said I didn't know anybody, not that there were none.
Are you really even serious with this crap?

sh: I'm not sure it's fair to even call Omicron by the same name as the Wuhan original and Delta. The viruses may be structurally similar, but they're so different in risk and outcomes that lumping them together seems contrived.
You should at least admit your BS.
Omicron's been the dominant strain since November 2021 and at least a quarter million have died of COVID since then in the US.
@no1marauder saidTheir risk profile (as measured in CFR) is an order of magnitude off from Original/Delta.

I never said or implied in any way that Omicron presented NO risk, but that the risk is not comparable to Original/Delta. This is self-evidently true and not remotely controversial.
This thing where you rip me for saying something that I never said or implied has become a common occurrence. I get that you have a bug up your ass about my covid opinions and I can only imagine your disappointment that my covid was so mild, but it still behooves you to argue against what I actually said rather than what you imagine I said in a debates forum.
@Wajoma
I DO wear masks when I go out and just had a covid test with results probably tomorrow, but my wife is showing near zero symptoms and we can thank the three shots she got for that.
They are giving her steroids just in case her immune system explodes like it has for some folks in the thrall of covid.
@sh76 saidScrew you. I'd never even remotely want someone to have a more severe case of COVID. Unlike you, I never minimized its effects or opposed measures designed to lessen the spread of this deadly disease.
