I actually do know several people who were hospitalized with covid (none that died, thankfully).
But all of them were the original or Delta. I don't know a single person who was hospitalized with Omicron.

That was just a theory, she could have caught it elsewhere but she didn't go out much except to doctors. I have my theory but not open to discussion here.

The bottom line is nature is smarter than humans and it looks like nature wants less humans on the planet and we get knocked down every hundred years or so and we fight back with science but there is always something new nature brews and it is the height of arrogance to suggest this stuff came out of a Chinese lab, we are not even CLOSE to be able to make such specific viruses, we haven't even fully understood HIV yet and folks think THAT came out of a lab too, arrogant is a weak word for such nonsense.

sonhouse went off into one of his rants accusing a maskless ambulance attendant whom he didn't know was covid positive/negative for infecting his wife. He has also admitted that he may have had covid himself unknowingly (sounds suspect but we have to give benefit of the doubt) The question was: Does sonhouse practice what he preaches and at all times follows correct mask procedure (clean shaven, fit tested fresh N95, does not constantly handle the mask up and down) and social distancing while at home with his wife. If not then it's more likely she caught the kungflooey from him.

I never said or implied in any way that Omicron presented NO risk, but that the risk is not comparable to Original/Delta. This is self-evidently true and not remotely controversial.

I get that you have a bug up your ass about my covid opinions and I can only imagine your disappointment that my covid was so mild, but it still behooves you to argue against what I actually said rather than what you imagine I said in a debates forum.

I DO wear masks when I go out and just had a covid test with results probably tomorrow, but my wife is showing near zero symptoms and we can thank the three shots she got for that.
They are giving her steroids just in case her immune system explodes like it has for some folks in the thrall of covid.
