Instead of going to war now that would be the way forward within our post modern culture

I would be surprised if most of the world leaders didn't play chess, but it is a shame we couldn't have had the Bush/Saddam match. Although, I think Saddam would have taken W.

It would put the U.S. at a distinct disadvantage--most of our leaders are pathetic chess players, if they play at all.

Utter disaster. We'd have a decent "military", but domestic affairs would be even worse than under Bush.

Well, if that were to happen, the Palestinians could no longer say we were pro-Israel.

Saddam would take full advantage of his timebank.

Palestinians would make pawn sacrafices leading to explosive games.

Britains queen couldn't possibly suirvive with just two castles.

President Bush would probably zig-zag his King over a series of but-one contiguously-placed pieces all the way to the far side of the board, push another King on top of it and then have to be told why that isn't possible under the rules.

I don't think he would. Bush would have stuck his queen in Saddam's eye before Saddam had a chance to play.

Bobby Fisher as president? Well that would take care of our problems with Al Qaeda.

The game is a fraud. Bush doesn't know how to move the pieces.

but they do play chess.. with men and women as soldiers..
with animal rights as sacrifice.. with no consideration to the environment..
with no respect to the world we live in..

they do play chess.. everyday.. with our lives as their pieces..
they play chess, very badly indeed..
