What is the point in holding murderers, peodophiles and rapists in jail for life, where the cause more damage to the community by making us pay taxes to keep them alive. We don't need ...[text shortened]... nt from what happened in Iraq as we have clear proof that they are building nucleur weapons.

America hasn't proved Iran is building Nuclear Weapons. Iran is developing nuclear power which could in the distant future (10 years) be used to develop nuclear weapons. America suspects they will build nuclear weapons and are threatening military action, irresponsibly I might add, to ensure security.

"first time since it's formation 11,000 years ago" is the important part of the sentace. 11,000 years ago we had just witnessed an ice age and the earth's surface was slowly beginning to revert back to it's normal temperature. We cannot ...[text shortened]... ure rose quicker than at other times, before beginnning to decline again, or level off? I can't[/b]
Actually drilling thousands of feet into ice far north in places like the north pole have ice (preseved) from thousands of years ago, from these scientists can work out the temperature the world was then. The sharpest increases in temperatures are smaller than what we are experiencing at the moment.

I am no scientist but news reports and experts have stated that the amount of nucleur fission being produced/used at the plant far exceeds what is needed to provide nucleur power. Convieniently enough it is the correct amount needed to produce nucluer weapons.

The fact is projections say that it would take 10 years for Iran to be able to build Nucleur Weapons. So I am sure something would be done about it by then, politically not military.

The US a liberal society?
Didn't they sort of have like apartheid up 'till the sixties?
Haven't they been hunting "niggers", "pinko commies" and "towel heads" every since?

You can't drink alcohol until you're 21. That's not very liberal...
You can't use drugs...not very liberal...
I'm sure the gay community in Little Rock Arkansas feels very safe in the liberal environment...

Those are some good points, but legalising drugs wouldn't be a great idea. 21 years old to drink alcohol, its 18 over here (UK).

Actually, America's nuclear armament is more of a threat, America is the only country to actually use nuclear weapons, ...
true, but that was under a Democratic Administration. 20% of Democratic Presidents since 1945 have used nuclear weapons, whereas 0% of Republican Presidents have done so...

Democrats keep telling us that Republican Presidents (Nixon, Reagan especially as well as Bush 43) are the ones who can't wait to nuke everybody, but so far only Democratic Adminstrations have actually gone all the way with nuking people.

Not that I disagree with Truman's decision, I don't.

This implies the reason they dropped the bomb was because they were democrats. There were many reasons for dropping the h-bomb. but "because we are democrats" is a new one on me.

I'm sorry, but for some odd reason, I find that funny, back in 1945...

Trumen: Let's drop an A-bomb and kills tons of innocent people!

Reporter: Why?

Trumen: Because we are democrats, that's why!

Reporter: Oh

LMAO!

-----------------------------------------

Another interesting fact, the USA two main allies, Isreal and Pakistan, are the only two nations in the Middle-East to have nuclear weapons (more American hypocricy), and Iran feels the need to have nukes to defend against Isreal, it's enemy.

The terrible movies/tv shows/music we have to put up with from the USA. Every now and then, there is a good movie/show/band emerge, but the majority of stuff rammed down our throats is brain dead, plastic, overproduced, disgustingly out-of-touch-with-the-real-world sh*t.

Oh yeah, and Paris Hilton...

By the way, the negative images of women coming from the USA is shocking.
Listen, Goofball, after sending us that damn crocodile hunter, you've got a lot of damn explaining to do. I can't think of a damn thing coming out of Autrailia but that damn fool. I simply pray for the day to turn on the news and find out that he has been eaten by something.

I don't think anyone is denying global warming, what is in question, (i.e. unproven) is, what is mans contribution to it, if any.

On the basis of some controvertible theories that flow from people who get more research funding the worse things sound the US (or any other country for that matter) is supposed to sign onto something that is going to cost billions of dollars and see a whole new army of busy bodies and bureauRats interfering in our lives?

I'm embarassed and dissapointed by herr clarkenfurher (NZ primeminster) signing NZ in to it.

Go the US, I hope to be a citizen oneday.
